  • Patent number: 10567097
Abstract: An audio processing circuit is described. The audio processing circuit includes at least one input configured to receive a primary audio signal and a feature generation signal. A feature model estimation circuit is configured to model and output a feature model signal of the primary audio signal. A feature generation circuit is coupled to the feature model estimation circuit and is to receive the feature model signal and the feature generation signal and, in response to the feature model signal, modify the feature generation signal; and output a modified representation of the feature generation signal that is more similar to the primary audio signal.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 14, 2017
Date of Patent: February 18, 2020
    Assignee: NXP B.V.
    Inventors: Temujin Gautama, Joris Luyten
  • Patent number: 10255034
Abstract: An audio processing circuit, audio unit and integrated circuit and method for blending are described. The audio processing circuit comprises: a time-to-frequency domain circuit configured to convert a primary audio signal and a secondary audio signal in a time-domain form and output frequency spectrum representations thereof; a cross-fade magnitude circuit configured to obtain a cross-faded magnitude spectrum representation from the frequency spectrum representations; a cross-fade phase circuit configured to obtain a separate cross-faded phase spectrum representation from the frequency spectrum representations; and a frequency-to-time domain circuit configured to receive the separate cross-faded magnitude and cross-faded phase spectrum representations and output a time domain signal.

  • Publication number: 20150170670
Abstract: An audio signal processing apparatus for time scaling audio signals, the apparatus comprising an input terminal, an output terminal, a criterion applier and a time scaler, the input terminal configured to receive an audio input signal comprising one or more frames, the criterion applier configured to apply a distortion criterion to the received frames of the audio input signal in order to generate a control signal representative of whether or not the received frames satisfy the distortion criterion, the distortion criterion associated with a time scaling operation of the time scaler, the time scaler configured to perform the time scaling operation on some or all of the received frames to produce corresponding time scaled frames, the output terminal configured to provide an audio output signal comprising the received frames or their corresponding time scaled frames in accordance with the control signal of the criterion applier.
