  • Patent number: 4885968
Abstract: Mounting of the circularly fitted inserted tooth of a circular saw. An inserted tooth (4) having a circular mounting surface is mounted on a blade body (1) and into a round-bottomed notch whose opposite edges are parallel. Tooth (4) is locked in the notch by means of a rivet (6) which is positioned in a juncture between the removable tooth and the blade body along a straight portion of the edge of a notch. Such locking facilitates a strong design for said tooth and even a loose tooth can be re-tightened in position by means of the flattening pressure of said rivet.

  • Patent number: 4524664
Abstract: Elastic mounting for the rod-shaped inserted tooth (1) of a circular saw on a blade body (2). A problem is to eliminate loosening and disengagement of teeth caused by an impact-like loading on teeth and occurring after a relatively short service life. A blade body (2) or a tooth (1) is provided with an elastic strip (5 or 6) whose spring force (H), together with the flattening force exerted by a locking rivet (4'), urges a tooth against those points (a and b) in its fitting notch which also receive the bearing forces exerted by a shearing force of sawing.

  • Patent number: 4458567
Abstract: A method for orienting a log, supported by rotating means, which is to be fed into a saw or a similar device. The upper edge line of the log profile is surveyed by two cameras placed in such a symmetrical position above the log that a line from the camera to the log in the feed plane forms an olbique angle with the feed plane. Each camera records the edge line viewed by it and the log is brought by orienting movements in such a position that the images of the edge lines as viewed by the cameras are substantially mirror images of each other.
