  • Patent number: 6910357
Abstract: A lock includes a lock housing (3), a bolt (20) which is moveable in the lock housing between an inwardly withdrawn and an outwardly extended position and which includes a weakened region (36). The lock also includes a blocking element (5) fixedly arranged in the lock housing, an interlocking device (12, 14, 16), and a bolt-carried abutment element (34) which is adapted to coact with the interlocking device (16). When the bolt is subjected to an outer force that exceeds a generally predetermined force, the bolt will deform in the weakened region (36) so that movement of the bolt between the outwardly extended and inwardly withdrawn positions will be blocked by the fixedly mounted blocking element (5).

  • Patent number: 6519989
Abstract: A lever lock unit includes a housing, a dogging element adapted to actuate a lock bolt, a plurality of lever tumblers that are actuable via the dogging element and movable relative thereto, and a blocking element for blocking movement of the dogging element in the absence of a key or when the wrong key is inserted in the unit. The unit is characterized by a cradle accommodated in the dogging element and adapted to receive the lever tumblers. The dogging element is rotatable and is adapted so that when rotated, the cradle accommodated in the dogging element, and there with also the lever tumblers accomodated in the cradle, will be caused to move linearly in relation to the dogging element and in relation to a key inserted into the unit, for movement of the lever tumblers to a blocking element release position when the correct key is inserted.

  • Patent number: 5502990
Abstract: In a recodable lever tumbler lock such as used with a safety deposit box lock, a coding device (17) and a recoding pin of particular configuration are caused to interact with remaining components of the lock mechanism of more conventional construction. When the lock is activated to its normal retracted position, one end of the coding device functions as a stop abutment and engages a waist portion on the recoding pin whereby another part of the coding device engages a hook means provided on the periphery of a dog (7) included in the lock, and the dog can be rotated only through about 150.degree. with the ordinary key. When the lock is to be recoded so as to work with a different key, the lock is first activated to its locking mode with the door open, and the recoding pin is moved to a second end position by manual manipulation. In this second end position, the end (17e) of the coding device is prevented from entering a waist on the pin and therewith enables the dog to be rotated through 180.degree.

  • Patent number: 4836000
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lever tumbler lock in which the scrape marks caused by the key bit as it displaces the various tumblers will not be completely informative of the configuration of the key bit.According to the invention the lock includes a device which as a key bit (13) inserted into the lock housing (1) is turned will scrape against at least a part of the cam surface (10) of at least one tumbler (2) such as to create on this cam surface or those cam surfaces scrape marks which cover the scrape marks caused by corresponding cams on the key bit when the key is turned, at least at the beginning and the end of these scrape marks.
