  • Patent number: 10431441
Abstract: A photomultiplier tube for use in an imaging plate scanner. In one embodiment, the photomultiplier tube includes a housing having a window; a focusing electrode located in the housing; an electron multiplier dynode located in the housing; an anode; a cathode and a memory storing parameters. Another embodiment provides An imaging plate scanner including a photomultiplier tube having a window, an anode, and a cathode; a light source positioned to radiate light on the anode or cathode; and an electronic processor communicatively coupled to the light source and configured to generate a supply voltage value for the photomultiplier tube, activate the light source and determine an output current of the anode or of the cathode, and generate an error message if the output current deviates from an expected current range. A power supply is electrically connected to the electronic processor and configured to generate the supply voltage.

  • Patent number: 9211102
Abstract: The invention relates to an image plate template for keeping at least one image plate used in medical imaging in order with relation to an imaging object. The template comprising at least receiving means for receiving the at least one image plate and displaying means for displaying information in order to associate a patient with the at least one image plate. The template may also comprise communication means for communicating information from said image plate to an external device for displaying information in order to associate a patient with the at least one image plate.

  • Patent number: 7792648
Abstract: A system determines pedaling effort of a bicycle and includes a first detector to generate a first sensor signal responsive to passage of a force transmission chain across a first frame-fixed point located in proximity to the force transmission trajectory of the force transmission chain, a second detector for generating a second sensor signal responsive to passage of a force transmission chain across a second frame-fixed point located in proximity to the force transmission trajectory of the force transmission chain, and a controller configured to receive the first and second sensor signals and configured to determine a first pedaling parameter proportional to tension of the force transmission chain by using the first and second sensor signal. A corresponding method for determining pedaling effort of a bicycle, and a computer program distribution medium including instructions for executing a computer process in a digital processor are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5315311
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for driving an AC-excited thin-film electroluminescent display based on a display matrix of rows and columns, in which method each row of the display matrix is alternately driven by positive (Vwrp) and negative (Vwrn) row drive pulses in which the magnitudes of successive pulses are different, each column of the display matrix is driven individually by modulation voltage pulses synchronized to the row addressing sequence, said pulses having a maximum amplitude (Vm) and an "ON"-state polarity equal to that of the larger-magnitude row drive pulse.
