  • Publication number: 20190208718
Abstract: According to the present invention a composite structure is provided comprising in intimate mixture essentially through the whole composite structure: peat fibers, peat particles, peat agglomerates or mixtures thereof, that have been obtained from horticultural peat by fractionation or by producing from peat fines; and polymer fibers, which composite structure has been heat-treated to bind the polymer fibers to each other and to stabilize the peat fibers, peat particles, peat agglomerates or mixtures thereof in place in the composite structure. In addition, a process is provided for the production of the composite structure.

  • Patent number: 8773724
Abstract: A method of superimposing a first image onto a second image, wherein each image is defined by a plurality of pixels is disclosed. The method includes changing target pixels of the second image corresponding in position to pixels of the first image to be superimposed on the second image. Changing target pixels of the second image includes changing the values of some of these target pixels of the second image to respective new values. Each new value is based on the original value of at least one pixel of the second image. A personalization method including such an image superimposing method and a data carrier thereby personalized are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130291808
Abstract: The invention for utilizing thermal energy of gases generated in a BtL plant. A feature of the invention is that the thermal energy of discharge gas streams generated in the BtL plant is used for driving various compressor machineries and/or electricity generation, whereby the plant can operate as a stand-alone facility.

  • Publication number: 20110097680
Abstract: A method is disclosed for heating the drying air of a biomass dryer, such as the drying air used in a wire belt conveyor. An essential feature of the invention is that the heating of the drying air takes place with the help of a water-glycol mixture or other equivalent nonfreezing medium flowing in an intermediate circuit, whereby a plant producing biodiesel obtains thermal energy for drying from another nearby-located industrial plant such as a pulp or paper mill.

  • Publication number: 20110056820
Abstract: Method for pretreating the fine particles of a biomass. What is essential in the method is that, for pretreating the fine particles for the gasification, the fine particles are granulated by means of pellet presses or suitable briquetting devices or corresponding granulating devices such that their particle size is advantageous for coking and for the quenching of syngas.

  • Patent number: 5923818
Abstract: A water fog spraying system for infrared radiant dryers includes a spraying tube (9) for spraying water fog onto a desired object, and infeed (6) and control means (7) for feeding water into the water line of the spraying tube (9). The spraying tube (9) includes a water line pipe (2) with nozzles (3) attached thereto and a jacket (1) adapted about the water line pipe (2), the jacket acting as the load-bearing structure of the spraying tube (9) and having openings made thereto at the nozzles (3).

  • Patent number: 4882852
Abstract: The invention concerns a procedure for drying a moving web material (E), wherein on the material (E) to be dried is directed infrared radiation, and wherein the moving web material is transported through the radiation zone of an infrared radiator, the web material to be dried absorbing radiation. On the moving web material to be dried is directed the radiation produced by at least one first infrared radiator (T.sub.1) and the radiation produced by at least one second infrared radiator (T.sub.2), the radiators being disposed close to each other, the maximum intensity wavelength (.lambda..sub.maximum) (T.sub.1) of the radiation from the first infrared radiator (T.sub.1) being smaller than the maximum intensity wavelength (.lambda..sub.maximum) (T.sub.2) of the radiation from the second radiator (T.sub.2), whereby in the drying process the spectrum of the total radiation is maximally advantageous in relation to the absorption spectrum of the material to be dried. The invention also concerns an IR dryer.
