Abstract: An irradiation device provided with a support which is hinged via an arm to a support and a housing which has a radiation emission plane and which comprises two units with radiation sources which are each hinged to the support about a respective axis transverse to the radiation emission plane and can be placed in certain positions relative to the support, said support comprising a third unit also provided with at least one radiation source between the pivot points of the two former units, which third unit is rotatable with resistance about an axis transverse to the radiation emission plane.

Abstract: Irradiation device having a base (1) which is pivotably connected by means of an arm (2) to a housing (4,5) in which radiation sources are accommodated and in which a radiation exit side is present, the housing (4,5), the arm (2) and the base (1) being collapsible to a compact unit. The housing has two juxtaposed elongated parts (4,5) accommodating radiation sources, which parts (4,5) are pivotable with respect to each other about an axis (7a,8a) at right angles to the plane through the radiation exit side.

Abstract: An ultraviolet-radiation emitting device comprises a housing having an opening in one side; a reflector positioned in such housing with its reflecting surface facing such opening; and an ultraviolet radiation source disposed in front of such reflecting surface. A glass plate is secured to such one side of the housing and is adapted to filter out relatively short-wave ultraviolet radiation originating from the radiation source, the glass plate covering the opening in such one side of the housing. The edge of the glass plate, except for a portion thereof, is secured to the housing by means of an adhesive layer. An electrical switch operable to switch off the radiation source, such switch including an actuating element bearing against the inner surface of the glass plate and arranged, upon breakage of the glass plate, to operate such switch, is provided.

Abstract: There is provided an irradiation apparatus having two timers which are set for the desired exposure by means of a control member. Should one of the timers become defective, the control member is blocked in its inactive position so that further use of the irradiation apparatus is made impossible.
