Between the front portion and the rear portion an accommodating space is defined between which a seating unit may be suspended. The seating unit forms a shell-like seat structure. At least one portion of the seat structure is cup-shaped. The seating unit also includes a height-adjustable seat middle portion. The seat middle portion is designed to support a child at a predetermined seat height. The seating unit also includes thigh support portions. The thigh support portions each provide a thigh support surface for a respective thigh of a child. The thigh support portions are coupled to the seat middle portion in such a way that an adjustment of the seat height simultaneously results in an adjustment of the thigh support surface.
