Abstract: There is provided herein a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising (A) a linear olefinically-functional polyorganosiloxane copolymer gum possessing a degree of polymerization in excess of 3,000; (B) a silicone resin including at least one MH unit and at least one Q unit; and, (C) a hydrosilylation catalyst, wherein the composition is in the substantial absence of low molecular weight siloxane having a degree of polymerization of less than 3,000 and wherein the composition has low peel adhesion to and clean removal from a substrate. There is also provided a protective film including the same as well as a method of making the protective film.

Abstract: The present invention relates to new curable siloxane compositions, and their use for the manufacture of cured products thereof having modified release properties. The modified release forces are achieved by incorporating a selected pressure sensitive adhesive additive.

Abstract: Low temperature hydrosilylaltion reactions to create silicone release coatings utilizing hydridosiloxanes that are branched due to the incorporation of T or Q units, and the inclusion of MH terminal units. The hydridosiloxanes of the present invention provide for faster reaction at low temperatures while providing the optimal MH to DHratio and maintaining the required physical properties of the desired polymer product. The silicone release coatings of the present invention are valuable for use on heat-sensitive supports or films.

Abstract: The present invention provides novel low temperature thermal, solventless silicone release coatings for temperature sensitive films. The invention utilizes novel hydridosiloxane crosslinking fluid and hydrosilylation catalyst in conjunction with standard additives, which produce curable polysiloxane release coatings on temperature sensitive films.
