  • Patent number: 8182595
Abstract: A correcting fluid with a colored drying indicator that includes as fluorescent dye, sodium 8-hydroxy-1,3,6-pyrenetrisulfonate and a good solvent for the fluorescent dye, in which the solubility of the fluorescent dye at 20° C. is at least equal to 0.1 g/l, and, a poor solvent for the fluorescent dye, in which the solubility of the fluorescent dye is less than or equal to 0.01 g/l at 20° C., the poor solvent being miscible with the good solvent for the fluorescent dye.

  • Patent number: 6644880
Abstract: The invention concerns a writing implement (1) comprising ink (5) in a fibrous or non-fibrous reservoir, a retarding agent soluble or dispersible in the ink and a nib (7) for transferring ink (5) from the reservoir to the writing medium and a method for making such a nib (7). The invention is characterised in that a retarding agent is included in the writing nib (7) and is adapted to be carried by the ink (5) when it is transferred into said nib (7). The inventive method consists in impregnating an already machined writing nib with a solution containing a specific amount of a retarding agent, drying the impregnated writing nib, without stirring, by heating at a temperature less than 60° C.

  • Patent number: 6443647
Abstract: A follower piston for a ball-point pen, the piston including an element in the form of a stable gel whose hardness measured by cone penetration lies in the range 100×10−1 mm to 400×10−1 mm, and a method for manufacturing the element in situ.

  • Patent number: 6405438
Abstract: The anti-friction strip of the invention for a discardable razor is obtained by extruding a polymer mixture comprising an insoluble polymer material and polyethylene oxide. It has an initial coefficient of dynamic friction (KD) of the order of or less than 0.2. The mixture for extrusion includes, as its polyethylene oxide, only a substance whose mean molecular weight is greater than 3.5 million. The strip is preferably obtained by extruding a mixture comprising polystyrene and polyethylene oxide having a mean molecular weight greater than 4 million, and in particular a single polyethylene oxide having a molecular weight greater than 7 million. The invention also provides a shaving head having the above-specified anti-friction strip fixed thereto by ultrasonic welding.
