  • Patent number: 4751210
Abstract: A process for regenerating a spent, naturally occurring catalyst characterized by an iron content of about 10 to 70 wt. % as metal comprises contacting the spent catalyst with a mixture of water vapor and air in a water vapor/air ratio of between 1:1 to 20:1 at a flow rate of about 0.1 to 50 l/min., a temperature of about 200.degree. to 700.degree. C., a pressure of about 0.3 to 80 atmospheres for a time of about 0.1 to 20 hours so as to obtain a regenerated catalyst having a crystallinity value of about 1.0 to 6.5.
