  • Publication number: 20230049942
Abstract: A novel catheter is disclosed comprising an electrode array that is capable of switching between a sensing configuration for sensing electrical signals of biological tissue and an ablation configuration for delivery of ablation energy at a region of interest. Irrigation ports are interlaced within the electrode array to vent irrigant during an ablation procedure to; prevent excessive heating, charring of tissue, coagulation of blood, and allow for efficient delivery of ablation therapy for maximum therapy efficacy. The novel catheter includes a plurality of splines with linear portions wherein the electrodes of the electrode array are disposed. The splines are connected by connectors which include one or more bends capable of storing potential energy when the bends are elastically deformed, enabling collapse and expansion of the catheter in a sheath.

  • Patent number: 9427484
Abstract: A household sterilizer for disinfecting fabric material that has become soiled. The unit involves an upright tub containing an electric heating element at its base. A suspension bar extends generally across at least part of the tub interior, for hanging clothing to be treated. An electric cord for the heating element has a switch and timer module in series, to control current flow to the heating element. The arrangement is such that a wide variety of garments, including miscellaneous fabrics in general, can be readily steam cleaned with a minimum of water being required. The tub occupies a minimum of space, suitable for a conventional home or apartment.

  • Publication number: 20130047314
Abstract: A jacket to be worn by a driver of a vehicle, such as a motorcycle, in which hand-grips are fixed to the rear of the jacket. A pair of hand-grips may be mounted on the upper rear of the jacket, with another pair of hand-grips optionally mounted on the lower rear of the jacket. The hand-grips have ends which are fixed to the jacket and a central portion projecting rearwardly from the jacket and have a length such that they can be grasped by a hand of a passenger of the vehicle to provide increased stability to the passenger. Among the many different possibilities contemplated, the jacket may have hand-grips that are sown or riveted to the jacket, which may be collapsible or flexible, which may be of specific lengths, and which may be concealed by various means, including a zipper enclosure.

  • Patent number: 6401827
Abstract: A running tool is used to install a tubing hanger without entangling the continuous control lines. The tubing hanger running tool is made up of a central mandrel, an outer housing, a setting member, and an actuator. The mandrel has a lower end for securing to a tubing hanger. The outer housing surrounds the mandrel and is connected to the setting member. The actuator moves the setting member axially with respect to the mandrel so that the setting member can set the lock element on the tubing hanger, securing the tubing hanger to the tubing head. The setting member has openings which allow the control lines from the tubing hanger to be fed through to the outside of the running tool so that they are not entangled during the placement of the tubing hanger.

  • Patent number: 5362505
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing individual, crunch-confectionery-coated edible nuts. The raw, unblanched nuts are first coated with a film-forming polysaccharide to maintain the skins adhered to the nuts in a durable polysaccharide coating. The coated nuts are then subjected to shear mixing, e.g., in a pan coater, during which sucrose syrup is applied to the polysaccharide-coated nuts. Heat is applied to the nuts during shear mixing to remove moisture and to thereby form a crystalline coating, which is then partially melted to form a crystalline-amorphous coating on top of the polysaccharide coating on the individual nuts.
