Abstract: A system and method for operating centrifugal pumps related to net positive suction head (NPSH), including identifying a group of centrifugal pumps and deriving an equation for the group based on manufacturer data of the centrifugal pumps collectively in the group, the equation correlating NPSH required (NPSHr) with flowrate of pumped fluid, wherein the manufacturer data includes NPSHr for each centrifugal pump of the group as a function of the flowrate of the pumped fluid. The technique includes specifying a NPSH margin for NPSH available (NPSHa) above the NPSHr.

The purging tool may further comprise a shape operable to be easily adapted to standardized fuel inlets.

Abstract: The present invention provides a device capable of removing deep-seated fence post without significant damage to the exterior of the fence post surface. The device of the present invention is compact, modular, and lightweight. The device is best suited to work in combination with a jack and/or hydrualic press, to lift the fence post out of the ground the corresponding distance. The device is sufficiently portable and does not require additional tool than previously mentioned. In post removing examples, the resulting assemblies provide a useful model for the intended use of the device.

Abstract: A game conversion system is disclosed for enabling play of legacy games on a previously-incompatible enhanced gaming platform. The system game conversion system includes a game cabinet for a gaming machine, an enhanced gaming platform operatively associated with the gaming machine, one or more legacy games, and a configuration file generator system. The enhanced gaming platform includes an enhance gaming operating system and an enhanced gaming processor board. The one or more legacy games are configured to operate on a legacy gaming platform, and the one or more legacy games are not natively configured to operate on an enhanced gaming platform. The configuration file generator system converts legacy data from legacy game EPROMS into files usable by the enhanced gaming platform-based gaming machine. The game conversion system increases the number of game titles that are available to be played on the newer game platforms by enabling operability of legacy games.

Abstract: A print media has a visible image and a plurality of invisible encodements comprising data printed over it in a hierarchy order, wherein the encodement of the highest order represents a replacement or edited version of the data of lower order encodements. Apparatus and methods provide effectively editing of an existing invisible encodement printed on media with a material sensitive to a first light wavelength by printing an edited or replacement encodement over it with a material sensitive to a second light wavelength of higher order in the hierarchy. Apparatus and methods also provide for selectively reading the highest order encodement, all of the encodements or selected ones of the encodements.

Abstract: A camera, adapted for recording individual sound files to be re-recorded onto associated photographic prints, includes an operator interface for pre-selecting photographic print characteristics which would affect the amount of recording time available on an associated photographic print. An audio memory is adapted to store sound files to be re-recorded onto associated photographic prints. An indicator is adapted to provide an operator-recognizable indication of recording time available as a function of print characteristics pre-selected by an operator. The print characteristics may include a print's two-dimensional surface area, a print's shape, a sound file's type or sound quality.

Abstract: A keyed data-and-print album page has a receiver having an array of image spaces, a plurality of invisible printed encodements, and a visible key. The image spaces each have a visible boundary. The encodements each have a margin. The encodements each at least partially overlap at least one of the image spaces. The margins are each in registration with at least one of the boundaries. The key indicates the relative geometry of the boundaries of the visible image spaces and the margins of the invisible encodements.
