Publication number: 20250061562Abstract: Systems and methods for automated broken tool detection are provided. An example method involves capturing an image of a tool that is provided in a machine (such as a computer numerical control (“CNC”) machine). Using the image, a reference model for the tool is established. After usage of the tool, a second image is captured and the image is compared to the reference model using a machine learning model. For example, the comparison may involve comparing a geometry of the tool in the model to a geometry of the tool shown in the current image. Based on the comparison, it may be determined if the tool was broken during usage. If it is determined by the machine learning model that the tool is broken, then an alert may be provided to an operator of the machine. A user interface may also be provided that allows the operator to select a particular tool for analysis and specify a tool geometry change tolerance value.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2024Publication date: February 20, 2025Inventors: Jose Alejandro Rios, Jonathan Christian Borao, Mikhail Mushkatblat, Sergey Lototsky

Patent number: 11687526Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for identifying user-specific content items and/or time-based content items, as well as techniques for providing the content items to the user. For instance, a remote system may receive first audio data from an electronic device, where the first audio data represents a request to identify content related to a topic. The remote system can then store the topic in a database and use the topic to identify the content. Later, the remote system can then receive second audio data from the electronic device, where the second audio data represents a request for the content. The remote system can then send third audio data to the electronic device that represents at least a portion of the content.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2020Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Jose Alejandro Dario Santos, Corinne Russell, Nicholas Martin Peters, Jr., Catherine Michelle Loo

Patent number: 11366504Abstract: In some examples, after a jack of a power supply is connected to a port of a device, a first safety chip may provide a signal that includes an amount of power sufficient to power a second safety chip located in the power supply. After receiving a message from the second safety chip, the first safety chip may send the second chip an instruction to cause relays in the power supply to transition from open to closed, causing power to be provided by the jack to the computing device. The first safety chip may repeatedly send a continue instruction requesting the second chip to keep the relays in the closed position. If the jack is disconnected from the port, the second safety chip fails to receive the continue instruction and causes the relays to transition back to the open position, stopping power from being provided by the power jack.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2019Date of Patent: June 21, 2022Assignee: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Sathish Kumar Bikumala, Jose Alejandro Boillat
