  • Patent number: 10795864
Abstract: The method includes writing data transactions from a local database to a local transaction log file, assigning a bin number to each data transaction, and determining if the assigned bin number changed due to receipt of subsequent data transactions. If the bin number has changed and the data transaction is applicable to each remote database, inserting subsequent data transactions into a local sequence log file and assigning the subsequent data transactions a first sequence number. In response to a request by a remote replicator service, provide access to the first sequence number, and if the first sequence number does not match a second sequence number, providing to the requesting remote replicator service access to the subsequent data transactions, the remote replication service updating a remote database to include the subsequent data transactions if the at least one data transaction is applicable to each of the at least one remote database.

  • Patent number: 10449033
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for automated hair transplantation through the well-known extraction technique of capillary units or FUE, comprising the morphological analysis of hair follicles in real-time by means of artificial vision, mapping of points for extraction and implant, simulation of the final result, a system of local anaesthesia, global, simultaneous or in sequential phases, at least one articulated mechanical arm associated with a tool for differentially extracting and implanting hair follicles. The present invention is useful to reduce the time and cost associated with the intervention, improve the quality of the operation and the final result, in terms of capillary density, contemplating the study of cell differentiation of follicles with the required estimate of time required regarding the growth.

  • Publication number: 20190076623
Abstract: A device and method for delivering a drug from inside a body lumen to tissue surrounding the body lumen. An endoluminal drug delivery device includes a dual-lumen catheter for housing a guidewire and a needle connectable to a drug source. The guidewire exits the catheter through an opening at the distal end, and the needle exits the catheter through an exit port in the outer wall of the catheter. A distal portion of the catheter has a single lumen and includes a taper, allowing the distal tip to act as a dilator. The device optionally includes a catheter lumen splitter and/or a handpiece assembly. A method of delivering fluid to tissue surrounding a body lumen includes inserting a guidewire into the body lumen, tracking the device over the guidewire, deploying the needle through the exit port to the tissue, delivering fluid, and retracting the needle into the catheter.

  • Patent number: 9973582
Abstract: A method and database server for synchronizing contents of a local database with contents of a remote database. The method includes writing data transactions to a local transaction log file, assigning bin numbers to the data transactions, and determining if the assigned bin numbers have changed due to receipt of subsequent data transactions and if the bin numbers have changed, inserting the subsequent data transactions into a local sequence log file and assigning the subsequent data transactions a first sequence number. The method includes providing, to a remote replicator service, access to the first sequence number, the remote replicator service having access to a second sequence number, and if the first sequence number does not match the second sequence number, providing to the remote replicator service access to the subsequent data transactions, the remote replication service updating a remote database to include the subsequent data transactions.

  • Publication number: 20150027241
Abstract: Piercing probes for fluidic applications may include a body portion including a distal end of the piercing probe. The piercing probes may also include a piercing portion opposite the distal end of the piercing probe. The piercing portion may include a conical portion, which may include a piercing tip. The piercing probe may also include a continuous lumen defined through the body portion and the piercing portion. The continuous lumen may be centered about a primary longitudinal axis of the piercing probe. A longitudinal tip axis may be defined through the piercing tip parallel to the primary longitudinal axis. The longitudinal tip axis may be offset from the primary longitudinal axis by an offset distance greater than zero. Fluid-sampling systems including the piercing probes may further include a device configured to draw or expel fluid through the continuous lumen.

  • Publication number: 20050053783
Abstract: Fine expanded PTFE fiber with round cross section and smooth outer surface are obtained by twisting flat stretched filaments above the optimum limit for these fibers and subsequently further stretching with heat treatment. These filaments can be used for fabrics, among other applications, and they present the following properties: low shrinkage, low elongation under tension and high tensile strength. The invention also suggest a process of manufacturing said fiber, comprising the steps of twisting said expanded PTFE filament in excess to the optimum for the fiber, and stretching the twisted fiber under heat treatment until the fiber returns to its optimum twist and is fixed.
