  • Patent number: 8648000
Abstract: Process for producing homopolymers or copolymers of conjugated dienes by contacting monomeric material including at least one conjugated diene with a catalyst system comprising (A) a first transition metal compound selected from Cr, Mo and W compounds, and a second transition metal compound selected from Fe, Co and Ni compounds, (B) a catalyst modifier and, optionally, (C) one or more catalyst activators.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 26, 2007
Date of Patent: February 11, 2014
Assignee: Ineos Commercial Services UK Limited
Inventors: Juan Jose Chirinos-Colina, Vernon Charles Gibson, Grant Berent Jacobsen
  • Publication number: 20120085961
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for improving damping performance and viscoelastic response in a vehicle interior part, the method involving including a thermoplastic blend in the part, wherein the thermoplastic blend contains 50 to 70 percent by weight of a thermoplastic aromatic polycarbonate and 5 to 10 percent by weight of a thermoplastic polyester-polyol-based polyurethane, wherein the percents are based on the combined weights of the thermoplastic aromatic polycarbonate and thermoplastic polyurethane. The inventive methods may find particular application in vehicles such as vehicles such as automobiles, trucks, buses, trains, airplanes, etc.

  • Publication number: 20080293896
Abstract: A process and catalyst for producing homopolymers or copolymers of conjugated dienes by polymerising the monomer with a catalyst system comprising (A) a first transition metal compound selected from Cr, Mo and W compounds, and a second transition metal compound selected from Fe Co and Ni compounds (B) a catalyst modifier (eg triphenyl phosphine) and optionally (C) one or more catalyst activators (eg MAO). The cis, trans and 1,2-vinyl microstructure of the produced diene polymer can be controlled.
