Said reservoir extends by means of a lactiferous duct which ends in an opening (9) normally closed by zone (8) of the thin elastic membrane (7) which covers internal membrane (5). During suction, zone (8) of the membrane (7) swells as it becomes filled with liquid from the lactiferous duct, expelling of the liquid into the mouth being then obtained by pinching of teat (8) between the lips, and the ejection of the liquid through opening (10) which then is uncovered.

Abstract: Each of two nuts includes two cylindrical recesses, the bottoms of which are pierced by openings of smaller diameter. Each of two jack bodies comprises, besides one of the nuts, two independent rods, the rectilinear ends of which are each fitted in one of the recesses and each include a blind hole serving as a guide for one of two guide pins connecting the nuts. By means of a screw having oppositely threaded ends screwed into tapped bores in the nuts, the jack bodies can be moved toward or away from one another, whereby forces situated strictly in the same plane can be exerted upon devices anchoring the appliance to the teeth. These anchoring devices are independent of one another and are each connected to only one tooth.

Abstract: There is described a dento-facial orthopaedy apparatus, comprising a force-conveying means at the level of two right-side and left-side molars from a patient, and anchoring means for said conveying means on both said molars in which each anchoring means comprises a fluted tube-like element which is fixedly connected to the one molar, said tube-like element having an axial recess opening outwards through a lengthwise groove, said force-conveying means comprising fastening means which can cooperate with said anchoring means and enter the axial recess from the tube-like elements through the lengthwise groove thereof with a movement along a substantially radial direction relative to the corresponding tube-like element, the apparatus further comprising locking means to prevent any radial movement of the fastening means of the conveying means after entering the tube-like element thereof.

Abstract: An orthopaedic appliance for correcting deformities of the lower jaw wherein gross forces on the mandible joints from forces applied to the chin are appreciably reduced by applying opposing forces in the region of the molars.
