  • Patent number: 10703066
Abstract: A nonwoven sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided, with the nonwoven sleeve having a tubular nonwoven wall bounding an inner cavity for receipt of an elongate member therein. The tubular nonwoven wall includes a strip of nonwoven material spiral wrapped about a central longitudinal axis of the wall, with opposite edges of the strip being brought into abutment with one another to form a spiral butt joint. The opposite edges of the nonwoven strip are bonded together across the butt joint by melted material of the strip. The nonwoven strip is bonded in tubular fashion along its length such that the nonwoven wall is not subject to unraveling and forming loose end pieces of the strip of nonwoven material.

  • Patent number: 7244147
Abstract: A connector equipped with an insulant comprising four channels. Each channel is able to receive at the location of a rear extremity a strand of a cable, and at the location of a front extremity an end of a contact in order to connect each strand to an end. The connector comprises a ferrule equipped with four cavities arranged in such a way that a front extremity of each cavity coincides with a rear extremity of a channel of the insulant in such a way that each strand connected to an end in the connector extends in a cavity of the ferrule and in a corresponding channel of the insulant. The invention also relates to a process for fitting the coaxial cables in such a connector.

  • Patent number: 6571611
Abstract: Tortuous passageways are provided in a substrate component that is retained within a holding chamber. Fuels and fuel mixtures to be comparatively tested are introduced into the holding chamber and into the tortuous passageways of the substrate component. The substrate component is controllably maintained at an elevated temperature during a specified number of defined test cycles. The substrate component is then removed and its after-test weight compared with an initial weight before the test. The tortuous passageways of the substrate component provide increased surface area subject to deposit formation and extended residence time for fuel to remain in contact with the substrate surface, thereby greatly enhancing the measured difference between tested fuels and fuel mixtures.

  • Patent number: 6546782
Abstract: An apparatus is described which permits the lubricity of fuel compositions at or near temperatures and pressures experienced by compression ignition fuel injector components during operation in a running engine. The apparatus consists of means to apply a measured force between two surfaces and oscillate them at high frequency while wetted with a sample of the fuel composition heated to an operator selected temperature. Provision is made to permit operation at or near the flash point of the fuel compositions.

  • Publication number: 20030056817
Abstract: A canopy apparatus including a canopy element having a canopy material bounded by a canopy frame. The base frame element is removably attached to an object, and a connector element allows for the removal and attachment of the canopy element to the base frame element. The canopy element extends away from the base frame and reduces the glare on a screen resulting from direct lighting, such as sunlight, reduces eye strain and provides dust protection.
