Abstract: Provided are impression trays having one or more breakaway segments that allow for convenient removal of a portion of the tray, while maintaining the overall dimensions of the tray. Also provided are methods making impressions that include removing at least one breakaway segment of the provided trays. Also provided are impression trays having novel handles and trays having novel slots for the extrusion of excess impression material and retention. Further provided are kits and systems that include such impression trays.

Abstract: Dental impression trays having a peripheral buccal supporting wall, a second wall which is parallel to the peripheral supporting wall with connecting means between the first supporting wall and the second wall. A partition is attached to the second wall to create a superior receptive cavity or compartment and an inferior receptive cavity or compartment in the impression tray. The trays provide needed stability when making impressions of both upper and lower teeth and jaw simultaneously.

Abstract: An impression tray has panels supporting the dental impression material. The panels can be removed to allow a post protruding from the jaw to extend through the opening in the tray when the impression is made. The trays provide both flexibility and necessary strength of support.

Abstract: The instant invention provides articulators and molds for use in such a system. The molds for making the models are made in such a manner that the resulting models have recesses for accepting attachment means from an articulator system. The reciprocating hinge means of the articulators attached to the stone bearing the models are then connected through interacting hinge means. A curved arm travels in a channel to allow adjustment of alignment. The arm has, at each end, a part of a hinge means for interaction with a reciprocating hinge portion on an arm attached to the model of the opposing jaw/tooth model.
