Abstract: A barbeque pit smoker is provided, the smoker including a cooking pit having a first side, a second side, and a front side; an access door disposed on the front side of the cooking pit; a firebox disposed adjacent to the first side of the firebox; an adjustable pit entry port in communication between the cooking pit and the firebox; an upright chimney disposed adjacent to a second side of the cooking pit, the upright chimney in communication with the cooking pit; a first end of a shaft disposed on the adjustable entry port, whereby communication between the cooking pit and the firebox may be regulated; and a first rotating handle disposed on a second end of the shaft, the rotating handle disposed proximate to the access door.
