  • Publication number: 20190218411
Abstract: Aqueous inkjet ink formulations comprising a solvent including water and a co-solvent, a water soluble or water dispersible polymeric resin and a colorant, and a method for facilitating the use of such an aqueous inkjet ink in an indirect printing system in which the ink is jetted onto a hydrophobic release layer of an intermediate transfer member before having the solvent removed therefrom and being transferred to a substrate, wherein prior to the jetting of the ink the release layer is brought into contact with an aqueous solution of a positively charged polymeric chemical agent. Other aspects are also described.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 24, 2018
    Publication date: July 18, 2019
Inventors: Benzion LANDA, Sagi ABRAMOVICH, Gregory NAKHMANOVICH, Dan AVITAL, Galia GOLODETZ, Yehoshua SHEINMAN, Gal AVIDOR, Jose KUPERWASSER
  • Patent number: 9738801
Abstract: The present disclosure provides metallic LEP inks and associated methods. In one example, a method of manufacturing a metallic LEP ink having reduced impurities can comprising adding a metallic pigment slurry and a resin to a stainless steel attritor, adding ceramic grinding beads to the attritor, and grinding the metallic pigment and the resin to form the metallic LEP ink.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 29, 2010
Date of Patent: August 22, 2017
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.

  • Patent number: 8288068
Abstract: A toner for use in liquid electrostatic printing, comprising: a carrier liquid; and, a plurality of toner particles, the toner particles being comprised of a pigment; and a mixture of resins, a major portion of the mixture comprising at least a first resin and a minor portion comprising at least one second resin, the second resin having an affinity for the pigment, that is greater than the affinity of the first resin for the pigment, such that the amount of free pigment in the carrier liquid separate from the toner particles is reduced over the amount that would be present in the absence of the at least one second resin of the minor portion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 9, 2007
Date of Patent: October 16, 2012
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
Inventors: Victor Gal, Galia Golodetz, Jose Kuperwasser
