Abstract: Dental implant having a body provided with an external thread and a head. The head has -at least a frustoconical outer portion with an increasing section, starting from the upper end of the head and having a tapering between 6° and 20° and a height between 0.5 mm and 2.0 mm; and a blind axial housing, in which there are defined: a frustoconical inner section, with a decreasing section, starting from the upper end of the head and having a tapering comprised between 15° and 30° and a height between 0.5 mm and 2.0 mm; a middle section for coupling an actuating tool; and a lower threaded section intended to receive an anchor screw of a dental prosthesis.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for processing optical signals showing real improvement for the transmission of optical signals over long distance at high bit rate but without implying to high costs. This is achieved by the use of a new modulation format (BL-FSK) based on the generation of a frequency modulated signal. It is obtained by driving an electro-optical modulator (e.g. LiNbO3) with a 1-bit delay pre-coded signal (or some other differential pre-coding) in a similar way as for generating DPSK. But unlike for DPSK, it is advantageously make use of the bandwidth limitation of the electrical and electro-optical components, chosen close to a half of the bit rate (B). A ramp-electrical signal is generated that produces the FSK modulation. As a direct consequence of such modulation, a higher spectral efficiency and a lower cost construction of the transmitter is achieved.

Abstract: An electrical connector, especially for making connection to a fine, varnish insulated wire, comprises a terminal and a housing for receiving it. The wire is carried in slots in the housing. The terminal comprises a pair of wire gripping plates which are urged resiliently together in contiguous relationship. As the terminal is inserted into the housing, the plates are initially cammed apart by wedges in the housing so that the wire is received between the plates. Upon full insertion of the terminal, the wedges enter notches in the plates so that the latter resile to grip the wire the insulation of which is pierced by serrations on one of the plates. Frictional wear on the wire is thereby avoided.
