    Abstract: An electric iron having electrical terminals connected to an electrical power cord. At least one of the terminals extends through a slot in a heat insulating skirt at the rear of the soleplate. The terminal substantially blocks the slot. The terminal also has a narrow neck section above the slot The terminal is twisted or bent at the narrow neck section to prevent the terminal from being pushed back through the slot.
