Abstract: A method implemented by a first network node in a communication network is provided. The method comprises: receiving a first subscription for subscribing a first User Equipment UE reachability event of a UE from an event subscriber, wherein the first subscription comprises a first indicator for indicating whether the first UE reachability event is to be reported in a direct mode or an indirect mode; sending a second subscription for subscribing a second UE reachability event to a second network node that is registered in the first network node, the second subscription comprises a second indicator for indicating that the first UE reachability event is to be directly or indirectly reported to the event subscriber according to the first indicator; and sending a first UE reachability report to the event subscriber.

Abstract: A method for discovering services in a telecommunication network provided by a network function, NF, in a Service Based Architecture, SBA, based telecommunication network, said method comprising the steps of receiving a discovery request, from a Network function, NF, consumer, for discovering an NF producer to interact with, wherein said discovery request comprises a Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number, MSISDN, associated with said NF consumer, transmitting to an address translate server, an address translate query, wherein said address translate query comprises said MSISDN, receiving an address translate response, wherein said address translate response comprises a Universal Resource Identifier, URI, and transmitting, to said NF, a discovery response, wherein said discovery response comprises an NF producer instance for interaction with said NF.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for short message service (SMS) delivery are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a data management (UDM) node includes receiving, by the UDM node, a registration request from a home subscriber server, HSS, node, the registration request being to register an Internet Protocol-Short Message-Gateway, IP-SM-GW, and the registration request comprising an address of the IP-SM-GW; and optionally, as a result of receiving the registration request comprising the address of the IP-SM-GW from the HSS node, determining message waiting data. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a HSS node includes receiving a registration request; and sending, to a unified data management, UDM, node, the registration request, the registration request being to register an Internet Protocol-Short Message-Gateway, IP-SM-GW, and the registration request comprising an address of the IP-SM-GW.

Abstract: A method for supporting authentication of a User Equipment, UE, in an Internet Protocol, IP, Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, telecommunication network, by interfacing a Service Based Architecture, SBA, telecommunication network, the method including receiving, by a Unified Data Management, UDM, in the SBA telecommunication network, from a Session Management Function, SMF, in the SBA telecommunication network, binding information, wherein the binding information is used to identify the UE in the IMS telecommunication network; receiving, by the UDM in the SBA telecommunication network, from a Home Subscriber Server, in the IMS telecommunication network, a request for providing the binding information, and providing, by the UDM in the SBA telecommunication network, to the HSS in the IMS telecommunication network the binding information, thereby supporting authentication of the UE. Complementary methods and corresponding nodes are also presented herein.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to methods and apparatus for obtaining and/or providing Home Subscriber Service, HSS, information. A method in a first service based architecture, SBI, capable Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, entity includes: transmitting a discovery request to a network repository function, NRF; receiving a response comprising HSS information from the NRF; and transmitting at least a portion of the HSS information to a second SBI capable IMS entity.

The first front-end node operates in a communications network comprising a pool of front-end nodes for providing access to a database. The pool of front-end nodes includes the first front-end node. The first front-end node receives, from a load balancer node, a first request for data from the database, from a client node. The first front-end node provides, to the client node, a first response to the received first request, the first response including a first indication indicating that the first front-end node is a preferred node for providing a subsequent response to a subsequent request for data from the client node. The subsequent response is allowed to originate from another front-end node in the pool of front-end nodes, different than the preferred node.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for implementation of an Application Sever, AS, (300), a Serving Call Session Control Function, S-CSCF, (200) and a Home Subscriber Server, HSS, (100) in an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem, IMS. A service monitor (318) of the AS monitors usage by one or more user equipments, UE, of one or more services offered in the IMS and an event manager (320) triggers an event, based on the monitored usage, the event comprising an update on at least one of a network operation and a UE operation for the one or more UEs in the IMS. The event manager controls a transmitter (302) to transmit an event notification to the S-CSCF, the event notification including the update on the at least one of a network operation and a UE operation. A registration manager (220) of the S-CSCF triggers an adaptation of the at least one of the network operation and the UE operation based on the received event notification.
