  • Publication number: 20230070650
Abstract: Systems and methods for event threat prioritization are provided. In some embodiments, an event priority engine receives event data detected by event agents executing on devices. The events are prioritized and ranked according to threat scores for events generated according to threat indicators which are fed event data and threat data. In some embodiments, security systems may take the approach of prioritizing events based on the endpoints from which they originate using attributes associated with those endpoints. In this way, events can be prioritized at least in part based on the damage to the enterprise that may occur if those events were to compromise security, not just the likelihood of those events actually resulting in a security breach.

  • Publication number: 20050269999
Abstract: A circuit for protection of the operation of power factor correction (PFC) converters from conditions such as input voltage surges that can otherwise cause failure, and to prevent unnecessary down time of the boost converter after a power failure or on startup. The circuit detects the real time rectified input voltage and provides real time comparison of the detected input voltage and the output voltage. The boost function of the PFC is controlled as a function of the output of the comparison circuit so as to quickly inhibit the boost function of the PFC controller thereby disabling boost and protecting the circuit from burning out. The circuit enables the PFC to starts and restart more quickly, even before the output voltage becomes stabilized, since boost is permitted as soon as the output voltage exceeds the real time sampled input voltage.

  • Publication number: 20050012585
Abstract: The present invention provides an inductive element and a method making an inductive element for surface mounting on an adjacent structure that has improved heat transfer characteristics. Specifically, the present invention includes an inductive element where the core and winding define coplanar surfaces that can then be mated to an adjacent structure, preferably a printed circuit board. Devices such as inductors or transformers including the inventive inductive element have multiple, low thermal resistance conductive paths for removing heat from the core and thereby enhance the heat transfer characteristics of the inductive element. The inductive element is particularly well suited for power electronics, such as for use a power choke or as part of a power transformer.
