  • Publication number: 20230174241
Abstract: An electrically powered aerial vehicle includes at least one motor where each motor includes a stator and a rotor, a motor housing having an inlet opening and a discharge opening for airflow, a plurality of rotor blades rotatable by the rotor, each of the plurality of rotor blades having a cavity running from a proximal end of the rotor blade towards a distal end of the rotor blade, and a blade hub coupled to the rotor blades at the proximal end of each rotor blade and coupled to the motor housing at the discharge opening. A chamber is defined in the blade hub and is in fluid communication with the discharge opening of the motor housing and the cavity of each rotor blade. The airflow is centrifugally drawn in from the motor housing through the discharge opening and transported through the chamber and into the cavities of the rotor blades when the rotor blades are rotating.

  • Patent number: 9103251
Abstract: A controller is configured to receive an input signal from a connection device of one or more aftertreatment components in an aftertreatment system for an internal combustion engine. The controller determines from the signal(s) whether the one or more aftertreatment components are properly installed for a particular aftertreatment system associated with the engine.

  • Publication number: 20130333363
Abstract: A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system includes a mixer that has a plurality of blades spaced about a central tube. The mixer can be configured to receive a reductant and exhaust gas mixture. The SCR system also includes a closed-end tube that is downstream of the mixer and configured to receive the reductant and exhaust gas mixture from the mixer. The closed-end tube includes a closed end opposing an open end. The closed end is substantially perpendicular to an exhaust flow direction. The closed-end tube further includes a sidewall that extends between the open and closed end. The sidewall can include a plurality of perforations. The flange plate of the SCR system includes an annular disk that has a plurality of openings through which reductant and exhaust gas mixture received from the closed-end tube is flowable. The flange plate is coupled to and supports in place the closed-end tube.

  • Publication number: 20110203640
Abstract: The invention relates to a solar tracking device for panels. The device includes a modular structure in which each module is formed by a plurality of pairs of coplanar panels (1) which are fixed to the ends of respective shafts (2) arranged at right angles to a longitudinal pivoting shaft (4) mounted on suitable supports secured to the ground. The pivoting shafts (4) of the modules (8) rotate simultaneously, each including a first radial arm (9) connected to a first common connecting rod (10). In turn, the coupling shafts (2) of each pair of panels (1) of a single module rotate simultaneously, each including respective second parallel radial arms (16), the free ends of which are hingeably connected to a second common connecting rod (15). One of the pivoting shafts (4) is rotated by means of a first linear actuator (11) which is secured to the ground and to a mounting box (13) for a radial lever (12) thereof.

  • Patent number: 6390939
Abstract: A batting practice device for training a user to hit a ball. The batting practice device includes a stabilizing member, a connecting bar, a vertical post, a upper vertical member, a rotating arm and a ball. The stabilizing member is used for providing ballast for the batting practice device. The connecting bar couples the stabilizing member to the vertical post portion. In addition, the upper vertical member is rotatably coupled to the vertical post portion. The rotating arm has a first end and a second end. The first end of the rotating arm is coupled to the upper vertical member. The ball is coupled to the second end of the rotating arm. Thus a force asserted on the ball rotates the ball and rotating arm around the vertical post portion.
