  • Patent number: 7520885
Abstract: A system for preparing a graft vessel for anastomosis includes one or more tools held within a functional package having at least one recess. An anastomosis tool or portion thereof may be held in at least one recess. An anastomosis device is connected to the anastomosis tool. At least one recess is shaped and sized to hold an amount of biocompatible fluid sufficient to immerse the anastomosis device.

  • Patent number: 7427261
Abstract: A system for preparing a graft vessel for anastomosis includes one or more tools held within a functional package. The package includes a tray and tray top, either or both of which may include one or more features configured to hold the contents of the tray securely therein, and/or may include one or more registration features configured to register one or more items in a desired position in the tray. The package has multiple recesses for holding one or more tools for preparing a graft vessel for anastomosis, and can be sealed and sterilized along with its contents. One of these tools may be a poke-through tool that includes a plurality of membranes within a shell.

  • Patent number: 7014618
Abstract: A single measurement tool is configured to measure at least one characteristic of a tubular tissue structure during a surgical procedure. The measurement tool may include an indentation defined therein that is placed against a tubular structure such as the aorta to determine whether that tubular structure has a radius larger than or smaller than the radius of curvature of the indentation. The measurement tool may include a number of first recesses for measuring the diameter of a tubular structure. The measurement tool may include at least one second recess for measuring the wall thickness of a tubular structure.

  • Patent number: 6821286
Abstract: A system for preparing a graft vessel for anastomosis includes one or more tools held within a functional package. The package has multiple recesses and can be sealed and sterilized along with its contents. The recesses are used to hold one or more tools for preparing a graft vessel for anastomosis. Additionally, the package includes one or more recesses or other features molded into it that allow for storing a graft vessel in a biocompatible fluid such as blood or saline solution, for moving one or more tools relative to one another, or for performing other functions.

  • Patent number: 6666832
Abstract: A single measurement tool is configured to measure at least two characteristics of a patient's vasculature during a surgical procedure such as a coronary artery bypass graft procedure. The measurement tool includes an indentation defined therein that is placed against a tubular structure such as the aorta to determine whether that tubular structure has a radius larger than or smaller than the radius of curvature of the indentation. The measurement tool may include a number of first recesses for measuring the diameter of a tubular structure. The measurement tool may include at least one second recess for measuring the wall thickness of a tubular structure.

  • Patent number: 4627546
Abstract: A handle for use in carrying and pouring from a plastic bottle comprises a single two-ended piece of flat flexible material possessing at one end means for attachment to a bottle neck and at the other end means for attachment to the bottle bottom. Between the two ends of material is formed a hand hold. The handle attaches to the bottle neck by use of two partially overlapping, nonconcentric openings the first of which slips over the bottle neck and collar and the second of which then snaps around the neck when the handle is tugged. The bottom employs a pair of integral stabilizing tabs extending inwardly of a bottle encompassing ring which upon insertion over the top of the bottle and movement downwardly over the bottle periphery extend both upwardly or one upwardly and one downwardly with respect to the ring, thus firmly gripping a lower part of the bottle.
