Abstract: A method of making a curved, shatterproof glass laminate for an automotive orother type transportation vehicle window or sun roof, which comprises at least one heat tempered or heat strengthened glass layer, which may be a low E glass type, at least one internal combination elastic shock absorbing-adhesive plastic layer of, for example, polyvinyl butyral material, and at least one antilacerative plastic layer of, for example, polyester or polycarbonate material, and/or a polyester material having a scratch-resistant or self-healing coating. The laminate may be formed from a laminate layup by engaging the antilacerative layer with a mold member and subjecting the resultant assembly to vacuum, heat and pressure in an autoclave. The resultant laminate may have a thickness so as to be readily usable for replacement or new manufacture in a standard existing frame or holder.

Abstract: Method for the manufacturing of blindaged glass that detains the trajectory of projectiles shot by firearms, characterized by the formation of a transparent and limpid composition constituted by a rigid zone of impact, an intermediate elastic and adhesive zone and a mixed third zone of protection and antilacerative.The rigid zone is composed of a laminated glass; the intermediate zone is composed of a plurality of layers of PVB or of polyurethane; the final mixed zone is composed by a glass sheet laminated with a thin polycarbonate layer which is covered by a transparent film of antiabrasive material. These blindage glass can be curved so as to be used in automobiles.

Abstract: A method to decorated laminate glass comprised of two glass sheets joined by a decorated film of a thermoplastic polymer. A sheet of glass, the film and a lamina of cellulosic material, decorated on the surface that contacts the film, are subjected to pressure and heat so as to transfer, by sublimation, said decoration to the film at the moment that it adheres itself to the surface of the glass. A second sheet of glass is over-placed on the decorated film and pressed to it, with heat, so as to form a safety glass decorated and/or colored in the interior.
