  • Patent number: 10363600
Abstract: A mold assembly for rotating electrical machines housings, the mold having part of the cooling duct geometry on its side portion and another portion on the center mold, in order to eliminate the requirement of casting plugs. A rotating electrical machine housing manufactured from the mold assembly.

  • Publication number: 20180175701
Abstract: A fastening system for the air deflector of a rotating electric machine and, more specifically, to a fastening system allowing variations in the axial position of the deflector and eliminating the need for additional fasteners. In the fastening system of the present invention, the casing has at least a portion of the inner surface configured with a plurality of axially spaced ridges, and the deflector comprises a substantially flat annular plate. The deflector has at least two resilient legs projecting from the annular plate, each leg having a shoulder sized to snap fit against a space formed between the axially spaced of the inner surface of the casing.

  • Publication number: 20170310192
Abstract: Engine housings feature an opening on the housing through which electric connection is enabled, as well as temporary maintenance. An ODP-type engine housing including a metal housing with a side opening, the opening compatible with the shape of the bottom of the junction box, enabling the junction box to partially close the opening of the housing. Consequently, when the junction box is attached, the housing is closed in order to facilitate the closing operation, as well as reducing manufacturing complexity, total mass of the housing and, consequently, manufacturing costs.

  • Patent number: 7871454
Abstract: This invention provides chemical processes for the treatment of industrial steelworks waste, especially those from an electric arc furnace, called “flue dust,” to allow for the subsequent recovery of metals (e.g. zinc and iron) from the dust. The main purposes of the process are: (i) the opening of the crystalline webs (zinc ferrite) originally formed in the flue dust, with the simultaneous production of soluble sulfates in aqueous medium; (ii) and the destruction of possible dioxins without subsequent regeneration. The processes encompass production of salts or sulfates of the metals in the flue dust, utilizing concentrated sulfuric acid and reagents or catalysts by dry medium, at normal pressure and moderate temperatures. The processes promotes reaction of sulfuric acid with elements found in the flue dust to maintain a homogenous mixture without the presence of water, and prevent agglomeration of the particles through the addition of secondary reagents and catalysts.
