  • Publication number: 20170321261
Abstract: The present invention provides an in vitro method of detecting circulating tumour cells, circulating tumour cells of epithelial phenotype and circulating tumour cells of epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMTs), in a biological sample using, as an indicator, expression levels of miRNA-21, and obtaining a result of the method by comparing the expression levels of said miRNA-21 with a negative control or with a positive control, wherein if the expression levels in the cells of the biological sample are over-expressed in comparison to a negative control is indicative of the presence of circulating tumour cells in said biological sample or wherein if the expression levels in the cells of the biological sample are expressed in an amount greater than ? of the maximum expression achieved in a positive control is indicative of the presence of circulating tumour cells in said biological sample.

  • Patent number: 9778967
Abstract: A graph processing system includes a graph API (Application Programming Interface), as executed by a processor on a computer, and that includes a plurality of graph operators to create graphs and to execute graph analytic applications on the created graphs, the graph operators supporting a creation and manipulation of multi-dimensional properties of graphs. A run-time system is executed by the processor and implements routines that dynamically adjust a plurality of representations and algorithms to execute sequences of operations on graph data. A library is accessible to the run-time system and stores a specification of calling signatures for the graph operators such that the graph operators can be called from any of various computer programming languages such that top-level algorithms received in an input graph application can be understood in the graph processing system when received in any of the various computer programming languages.

  • Publication number: 20160273047
Abstract: The inventors of the present invention have surprisingly discovered that EGFR expression in nonmetastatic breast cancer patients with CK-negative CTCs could induce EMT process. • Patent number: 9400700
Abstract: A graph processing system includes a graph API (Application Program Interface), as executed on a processor of a computer and as capable of implementing any of a plurality of graph operators to express computations of input graph analytics applications. A run-time system, executed by the processor, implements graph operators specified by each graph API function and deploys the implemented graph operators to a selected computing system. A library contains multiple implementations for each graph API function, each implementation predetermined as being optimal for a specific set of conditions met by a graph being processed, for functional capabilities of a specific computing system on which the graph is being processed, and for resources available on that specific computing system.

  • Patent number: 8489866
Abstract: A method, data processing system, and computer program product for managing a branch trace environment. In response to a branch being taken for a first branch instruction that is conditional and direct in the branch instructions, a performance monitoring unit stores an effective address of the first branch instruction into a first entry in a set of entries in a memory. The performance monitoring unit counts each branch not taken in processing the branch instructions occurring after the first branch instruction to form a branch count. In response to a branch being taken during processing of subsequent branch instructions in the branch instructions after the first branch instruction, the performance monitoring unit determines whether to create a second entry in the set of entries in the memory using the branch count with a set of rules identifying when the second entry is to be made.

  • Patent number: 8479184
Abstract: An information handling system includes a memory, a processor, and an instruction tracking unit. The processor executes program code and, while the program code executes, the instruction tracking unit decodes a multi-purpose no-op instruction within the program code. In turn, the instruction tracking unit sends an interrupt to the processor, which invokes a profiling module to collect and store profiling data in a profiling buffer.
