  • Patent number: 9970196
Abstract: This invention relates to a bracket including a barrel with a screw-threaded recess, a disk-shaped cap and a fastener that is receivable in the recess. The fastener is configured to attached the cap to the barrel in a spaced apart arrangement, when the fastener is received in the recess. The barrel comprises a body of polymeric material, a metal bush embedded in the body and defining the screw threaded recess, and a metal sleeve that extends partially around the periphery of the body.

  • Patent number: 9651071
Abstract: A fitting (10) is formed from by clamping first and second clamp bodies (12,14) of composite plastic material together, each of the clamp bodies being covered by a pressed stainless steel shell (36,38). Each of the clamp bodies (12,14) defines a grip formation (16) that faces a recess (26), so that an edge of a glass panel can be gripped between the grip formations (16)—preferably with soft pads (18). Fasteners such as bolts pass through apertures (24,25) extend through the shells (36,38) and bodies (12,14), to hold the entire fitting (10) together and to exert a gripping force on the glass panel.

  • Publication number: 20110133146
Abstract: A balustrade (10) and a method of manufacturing it are provided. The balustrade (10) has a number of upright posts (24) that are anchored in a substrate and has rails (42,44) that extend between the posts (24). The rails (42,44) are attached to the posts (24) with attachment formations (34,46), by way of a press fit, so that the balustrade (10) can be assembled without any welding on site.
