  • Patent number: 11747360
Abstract: Aircraft air data is estimated using a neural network trained to be independent of any signals from air data sensors whose values are based on air flow pressure measurements.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 11, 2017
Date of Patent: September 5, 2023
    Assignee: Embraer S.A.
Inventors: Bruno Javiel Carvalho, Gustavo José Zambrano, Leandro Fernandes Bergamo, Juliano de Melo Lustosa
  • Publication number: 20210405658
Abstract: This technology will allow takeoffs with a single initial horizontal stabilizer or trim tab position while maintaining satisfactory rotation times thus allowing simpler aircraft operation and avoid the scenario in which the crew does not correctly trim the aircraft (mistrim takeoff scenario) which could reduce safety margins.

  • Patent number: 10336463
Abstract: This non-limiting technology proposes to modify the maximum angle of attack setting (?setting) of the Stall Protection or Stall Warning Systems continuously or continually, according to the elapsed time since icing is first detected and/or the deicing system was activated. A changing maximum angle of attack setting maintains approximately the same angle-of-attack margin to the stall angle-of-attack by taking into account improvements in the stall angle of attack due to inflight icing removal and icing prevention by operation of an inflight deicing system. The aircraft flying with an angle of attack closer to the critical angle of attack is capable of producing a higher coefficient of lift.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 2, 2017
Date of Patent: July 2, 2019
    Assignee: Embraer S.A.
Inventors: Murilo Pinto Ribeiro, Gustavo José Zambrano

  • Patent number: 10089565
Abstract: A transaction card is described. The transaction card includes a card body that is made from metal. The metal may be a precious metal alloy, such as gold. The transaction card includes a polished area and a contrasting area on the card body. The transaction card additionally includes information. At least a portion of the information is engraved into the polished area.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 25, 2014
Date of Patent: October 2, 2018
    Assignee: AU Card, LLC
Inventors: Christopher James Scanlon, Jose Zambrano
  • Patent number: 10086925
Abstract: A flight control law enhances braking efficiency through the operation of aircraft elevators (or another pitch control system) using measured longitudinal acceleration and/or pedal position as references to the control law. Through this solution, it is possible to increase the vertical load in the main landing gear and consequently enhance braking efficiency.
