  • Publication number: 20060258502
Abstract: Proposed is a planetary transmission (8) comprising an internal gear (24), a sun gear (52) and a planet carrier (10), upon which at least one planet gear (20) is supported. The planetary transmission (8) possesses a clutch apparatus with a sliding sleeve (66), which in a first shift-position enables a direct connection between one of the shafts (44) driving the planetary transmission (8) and an output shaft (12) of the planetary transmission (8). In a second shift-position, the connection of the sliding sleeve (66) enables a change in the speed of rotation between the driving shaft (44) and the output shaft (12) of the planetary transmission (8). The planet gear (20) is so supported on the planet carrier (10), that in case of a shifting from a one shift-position into a respective other shift-position, the planet gear (20) on the planet carrier (20) becomes axially slidable.

  • Patent number: 5666854
Abstract: A support for a gear wheel, used in a toothed gear change transmission having a shaft and a gear wheel, where the support provides both sufficient axial fixing and radial play between the gear wheel and the shaft, necessary to compensate for working loads. The support is used with a gear wheel having internal teeth with at least one discontinuity in the internal teeth and a groove extending into the internal teeth. The support has a first disc with external teeth and at least one mating discontinuity in the external teeth, whereby the internal and external teeth and the discontinuities, respectively, can coincide with one another. A locking mechanism locks the position of the first disc relative to the gear wheel. To prevent against axial movement of the first disc against the direction of insertion into the groove, the support also includes a securing device.

  • Patent number: 5390347
Abstract: In a range change transmission for vehicles which is designed as planetary transmission (2), a sun gear (3) is driven by a drive shaft (4) of an added basic transmission while a planet carrier (8) of the planetary transmission (2) is rigidly connected with an output shaft (9) of the range change transmission. To engage a low ratio group of the range change transmission, a ring gear (6) is connected with a transmission casing (1) by means of a sliding sleeve (25). In a direct through drive, the sliding sleeve (25) connects the ring gear (6) with a planet carrier (8). The construction costs should be reduced by using a single-piece synchronizer ring (22), the single-piece synchronizer ring which is effective for both shift directions cooperating by both its friction faces (23) with bevel faces (18 and 19) on the transmission casing (1) and on the planet carrier (8).

  • Patent number: 5020385
Abstract: A motor-vehicle transmission has a housing extending along an axis and having axially spaced front and rear sides, a main input shaft centered on the axis and having a front end at the front housing side and a rear end spaced axially backward therefrom, a main output shaft centered on the axis and having a front end at the input-shaft rear end and a rear end at the rear housing side, and a secondary countershaft adjacent the input and output shafts and having front and rear ends respectively at the front and rear housing sides. A cylindrical-roller bearing supports the output-shaft front end on the input-shaft rear end for rotation therein and prevents relative radial movement but permits relative axial movement of the input-shaft rear end and output-shaft front end. Roller-type axial-thrust bearings support the input-shaft front end, the output-shaft rear end, and one of the ends of the countershaft on the housing.
