  • Publication number: 20230227275
Abstract: A transport container for a sorting device includes a support frame, a flap pivotally arranged on the frame, and an adjusting device which is coupled to the flap, to move the flap between a transport position for transporting an object and a dropping position for dropping the object. The adjusting device has a lever coupled to the flap. In order to be able to open and close the transport container reliably and to prevent the opened flap from swinging afterward, as well as to ensure as synchronous a movement of the flaps as possible in the case of several flaps, a cam plate rotatably mounted on the frame and having at least one guide surface is provided, on which the lever is guided during movement of the flap from the transport position into the dropping position and/or during an entire return movement from the dropping position into the transport position.

  • Patent number: 7886797
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for automatically closing envelopes. The apparatus contains a transport means for moving the envelopes in a transport direction, and a means for automatically folding back and closing an envelope flap. To enable accurate and reliable closing even of tightly filled envelopes even in a continuous operation duty, the means for automatically folding back and closing the envelope flap comprises several rotors which are rotatable in the transport direction of the envelopes and are movable, by means of a drive, in a manner which is transverse to the transport direction of the envelopes.

  • Patent number: 6895303
Abstract: In the case of a method of controlling the transport speed of a transport and gathering unit, wherein filling-material stacks are moved from an inlet to an outlet of the gathering path making use of at least one transport means and wherein filling-material units can selectively be added to the filling-material stacks at one or at several adding stations, at least one measure is determined for each filling-material stack at the inlet of the gathering path, each measure for each filling-material stack is increased at each adding station by a respective value corresponding to the filling-material unit added, if the filling-material stack has added thereto a filling-material unit, each measure of each filling-material stack is compared with a respective set value associated with the transport means, and the transport speed is controlled in dependence upon the result of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 5971695
Abstract: A turning device for turning paper material has a reception tray used for receiving therein the material to be turned and arranged such that it is adapted to be rotated about an axis of rotation. The material is arranged in said reception tray in such a way that its axis of inertia during turning substantially coincides with the axis of rotation of said reception tray. A feeder is provided for feeding the material into the reception tray in the direction of the axis of rotation. A removing device withdraws the material from the reception tray in the direction of the axis of rotation. When seen in a direction of transport of the material, the feeder is arranged at an adjustable distance ahead of the reception tray. The removing device is arranged at a fixed distance behind the reception tray, when seen in the direction of transport of the material.
