  • Patent number: 5238274
Abstract: A device is suggested which serves to lock and unlock closed doors of a motor vehicle. The device comprises a lock which is assigned to every door, can be actuated with a key and whose locking element is swivelably supported at the door and whose retainers, which cooperate with the latter, are arranged near the door opening so as to be fixed with respect to the body of the vehicle. The locking element is a structural component part which is spring-loaded relative to the unlocking position and engages behind the pin-like retainers with a hook-shaped projection in its locking position. The locking element has two catches which together enclose an angle with reference to the swivel axis of the locking element, which catches cooperate with counter-catches of a swivelable latch element which are spring-loaded relative to the catch position.

  • Patent number: 5178113
Abstract: An adjuster for a throttle device of an internal combustion engine in which a switch tappet is guided in an actuating tappet in such a way that external forces are not exerted upon it, which prevents any problems to the switch performance. The adjuster is embodied such that the switch performance is easily adjustable and is protected against external influences. The adjuster has an actuating tappet, formed of a guide body and a switch socket, in which a switch is disposed. The switch socket is displaceably supported in the guide body with a guide shoulder counter to the force of a restoring spring and it guides a switch tappet, which is aligned with the switch and which is threaded to a variable depth into the switch socket in order to adjust the switch point. Any external forces act upon an actuating body supported in the switch socket. The adjuster is used to adjust the position of a throttle device in the intake tube of an engine.

  • Patent number: 4706062
Abstract: In a potentiometer, wherein switching functions are triggered in association with the potentiometer position electrical switches (21-24) are mounted on the potentiometer plate (1) which supports the collector path (11) for the purpose of the very accurate association of the switching operations with respect to the potentiometer position and with spatially fixed switch on and switch off points with respect to the collector path (11). The switch elements which effect the switching on and off are mounted ona potentiometer setting member (17) electrically insulated which supports the customary potentiometer slider (19,20). Advantageously, each switch (21-24) is formed by a contact path (25-28) and a contact finger (29,30) rotating and sliding over the associated contact path (25,28), whereby the contact finger is mechanically connected with the potentiometer member (17). The beginning and the end of the contact paths (25-28) define the switching on and off point of each switch (21-24) (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 4655180
Abstract: An adjusting device for adjusting a stop lever coupled with a control device of an internal combustion engine. The adjusting device includes a housing having an electric motor which via a worm gear rotates a gear wheel. An internal thread is provided in an inner bore of the gear wheel and is engaged by the external thread of a spindle. The spindle is joined to an actuating sleeve and on one end has struts extending in the axial direction, which protrude into guide grooves of a short tubular portion of the bottom part of the housing and are displaceable therein in order to secure the spindle against rotation. A feeler is slidably disposed in the actuating sleeve and when the stop lever of the control device is in contact with the feeler, the feeler closes switch contacts which communicate via wiper fingers with contact paths, which are disposed on a protuberance which extends into the spindle.

  • Patent number: 4361722
Abstract: A sleeve head for closing an end of a cable sleeve, which sleeve head being a one piece member of a shrinkable material having a transverse wall with an integral outer wall portion and having at least one flange surrounding an opening so that a cable can be sealingly received in the head by shrinking the flange from an expanded state towards a normal state into sealing engagement on the cable, characterized by each of the flanges in the expanded state being expanded only in a radial direction and having substantially no deformation and stresses along the axial direction of the opening and the transverse wall adjacent each of the expanded flanges being folded outwardly to compensate for the expansion of the size of the flange so that during heat shrinking the flange shrinks radially inward onto a cable disposed therein with a folded wall moving to a substantial transverse planar condition without any axial shrinkage of the flange to create disruptions in the seals.

  • Patent number: 4360158
Abstract: A washing arrangement for a window of a motor vehicle has a washing liquid supply element, a main conduit extending from the supply element, a plurality of transverse conduits each connected with a spraying nozzle, and a branching element connecting the main conduit with the transverse conduits. The branching element includes a branching member formed as a valve body of a check valve, and a flexible tubular member which closes ports on the outer surface of the valve body. The valve body is provided with a plurality of transverse openings which extend substantially parallel to each other and into each of which a respective one of the transverse conduits is open.

  • Patent number: 4201309
Abstract: A sealing device which may be used as either a test plug or a sealing plug for closing an opening in a wall of a fitting characterized by a bolt-shaped pressure component having a disk-shaped rim at one end and threads at the other end for threadably receiving a thrust nut. An elastic sealing member and a thrust washer are arranged between the rim and the thrust nut so that the sealing member will be radially expanded into engagement with the periphery of the opening in a wall of the member or fitting as the nut is threaded onto the pressure component.

  • Patent number: 4128931
Abstract: A clamping tool having a bracket arm with a stationary jaw at one end thereof. The bracket arm supports a movable jaw. Each of the jaws have slot openings with grasping means for use in applying tension clamps to cable members. The tool is modified to enable it to function as a cable fitting opening device through the provision of projections attachable to the jaws which projection can be urged towards one another by movement of the movable jaw to urge the projections into contact with projections or recesses of cable fittings to force the cable fittings to open.
