  • Patent number: 4891406
Abstract: The production of high impact strength molding compositions obtained by thermal treatment of synthetic resin mixtures containing predominantly polyalkylene terephthalate, in the solid form, characterized in that the synthetic resin mixture containsA. 70-95% or 60-97% by weight of polyalkylene terephthalate andB. when A is 70-95%, 5-30% by weight of a conventional, elasticizing acrylate graft copolymer, a conventional .alpha.-olefin copolymer or a conventional polyether amide, or when A is 60-97%, 3-40% of a conventional polyether ester amide, and that the synthetic resin mixture is treated at temperatures of 15.degree.-60.degree. C. below the melting point of the pure component A in an inert gas atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4617618
Abstract: The invention relates to a headlamp reflector for an automobile vehicle manufactured by injection molding according to the coinjection process using poly(alkylene terephthalate) having a viscosity number (DIN 16,779) of between 60 and 180 cm.sup.3 /g. It is characterized by the fact that the core contains some 15 to 75% by weight of hematite, at least 75% of the hematite having a particle size less than 70 .mu.m. Good mechanical strength and good behavior in respect of temperature.
