    Abstract: A cleaning device for removing solid impurities from viscous material, in particular molten plastics material, comprising, inside a housing (1), a filter band (5) for separating out solid impurities which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the housing. The filter band (5) is wrapped around a curved supporting area (7) of a fixed supporting member (3) at an angle of wrap of preferably approximately 180°, and is guided on both sides of the curved supporting area (7) in planar supporting areas (15, 17) which lie tangentially and flush against the curved supporting area (7). To reduce the kinetic resistance of the filter band (5), the curved supporting area (7) and at least partly the planar supporting areas (15, 17) are provided with channels (25) extending in the direction of transport of the filter band (5).

    Abstract: A rotary cylinder machine, designed as a two-cycle internal combustion engine or as a compressor, includes in a housing (1) a cylinder rotor (5) that rotates about a first axis of rotation (7) and has three pairs of cylinders (13), the cylinders of each pair being coaxial and on opposite sides of the first axis of rotation and the pairs being spaced apart circumferentially by 120.degree.. The radially outer ends of the cylinders are closed by cylinder covers (33). Three pairs of pistons (15), rigidly connected together by piston rods (17), are carried on a crankshaft (21) that is rotatable about a second axis of rotation (23) that is parallel to and eccentric to the first axis of rotation (7). The piston rods (17) are seated on three eccentric disks (25), likewise displaced 120.degree. with respect to one another, on the crankshaft (21). Gas exchange takes place through piston-controlled ports (51, 53) of the cylinders (13).

    Abstract: The reciprocating engine which is particularly useful as an internal combustion engine, comprises a housing (1) with, mounted to rotate about a first axis of rotation (7), a cylinder rotor (5) having three pairs of cylinders (15) which are angularly offset in respect of one another by 120.degree. about the first axis of rotation (7). Disposed in the cylinders (15) are pistons (17) which are rigidly connected to one another in pairs by piston rods (19). Also mounted in the housing is a crank shaft (23) which is rotatable about a second axis of rotation (25) which is axially parallel with and offset by a predetermined eccentricity (e) in relation to the first axis of rotation (7). The piston rods (19) of the pairs of pistons are guided on the crank shaft (23) by means of eccentric bearings (27, 31). The eccentric bearings (27, 31) define in relation to the crank shaft (23) fixed axes of rotation (33) which, are angularly offset by 120.degree. in respect of one another.

    Abstract: The multi-coordinate sensing gauge of the invention comprises a sensing arm 7 displaceable relative to a housing 3 in the direction of a main coordinate axis 5 and guided on the housing 3 to be omnidirectionally pivotable about a first pivot point 19 located on the said main coordinate axis 5 by means of a first universal joint 13. A linkage arm 23 is coaxially connected to the sensing arm 7 and the end of said linkage arm which is away from the first universal joint 13 is omnidirectionally pivotable by a second universal joint 25 about a second pivot point 27 and is connected to a drive element 29. The drive element 29 in turn is guided on the housing 3 so as to be omnidirectionally pivotable about a third pivot point 33 by a third universal joint 31 displaceable along the main coordinate axis 5.

    Abstract: For separating material mixtures, in particular of thermoplastic plastics mixed with solids, the plasticized material to be separated is fed into the interior (23) of a hollow cylindrical filter body (7). The filtered material is conveyed via ducts (39, 41, 43) to the outside of the filter body (7). The remaining residue is fed by scrapers (19) on a rotatably driven scraper shaft (17) to an outlet provided with a holding-back device (47). The filter body (7) is composed of a single tubular material piece with a smooth inner surface and an outer surface ribbed in the circumferential direction. The filter openings (37) are worked into the bottoms of circumferential grooves (33) formed in the outer surface between the circumferential webs (35) by laser beam or electron beam processing methods. The elastically pretensioned scrapers (19) are supported via the webs (35) at the interior of a housing (9).

    Abstract: A system for the lateral guidance of agricultural machines, especially harvesting machines to be guided along a line determined by a crop row or a stand of crop along a previously cut swath, has a deflectible sensor for feeling the position of the crop along the guide line and means for automatically steering the vehicle to maintain the latter along a predetermined path established by this line. The improvement of the invention comprises a deflector fixed rearwardly of the sensor to prevent excessive displacement thereof by individual stalks which may be out-of-place and thereby preclude an excessive response of the automatic steering system because of occasional out-of-place stalks.

    Abstract: A rotary piston engine whose two pistons each have one or more sectors of greater radial dimensions sealingly engaging inner walls of two cylindrical, intersecting cavities respectively receiving the pistons, and one or more sectors of smaller radial dimensions which engage the larger sectors in all angular positions of the piston and radially bound working chambers with the inner casing wall. The pistons are coupled for simultaneous rotation of equal angular velocity, and the working chambers expand and contract cyclically because they are circumferentially bounded by the larger piston sectors and by a sealing arrangement connecting the engaged piston portions. A compressor drivingly connected to one of the rotary pistons supplies compressed fluid to the working chamber when it is at its minimum volume, and explosion of the fluid expands the chamber and turns the piston.

    Abstract: A harvester displaceable along the ground in a transport direction determined by a steering mechanism itself operated by a controller has a sensor formed of a pair of sensor arms pivotal on the harvester about pivot axes spaced apart transverse to the harvester transport direction. These arms are biased into a position extending normally toward and in line with each other and have inner ends which overlap so that displacement of the chassis of the harvester along the ground will bring crop into engagement with these arms and deflect them backwardly. Each of the arms is connected to a potentiometer and these potentiometers are wired in series such that as the one arm is deflected backwardly the resistance of its potentiometer increases and as the other arm is deflected backwardly the resistance of its potentiometer decreases.

    Abstract: A standing-crop harvester has a chassis adapted to be displaced along the ground in a transport direction and carrying a pair of guide wheels which are normally controlled from a steering wheel. A sensor carried on an arm in front of the machine detects the edge of a swath in a standing crop and generates an output which varies the impedance of one element of a bridge circuit. Another element of this bridge circuit has its impedance varied in accordance with inclination of the harvester on the ground, another element is varied in accordance with the speed of the harvester on the ground, and a fourth element is varied in accordance with the position of the wheels of the harvester relative to the direction of travel.
