  • Publication number: 20200331121
Abstract: A toggle clamp device, in particular for use in vehicle body manufacturing in the automotive industry. The worldwide industry standard for the range of toggle clamps in the automotive industry contains the same technical data for the structural dimensions, clamping and retaining forces and cylinder diameters. Deviating from this standard while maintaining the technical data, according to the invention, smaller cylinder diameters are used which lead to a reduction in compressed air or energy consumption of between 25 to 60%.

  • Patent number: 9567192
Abstract: An oscillation damper for vibration drivers for suspension from a load-bearing means displays a damping body connected on its opposite end faces to pressure bodies which are variable in their spacing, having a rigid support element which is assigned to the load-bearing means and a rigid support element which is assigned to the vibration driver. The two support elements are connected in an articulated manner by way of flexible ties to each pressure body. The longitudinal axes of the ties form in each case an acute angle with the vertical that decreases as tensile force increases, on account of which high tensile forces can be introduced onto the damping body. Simultaneously with the churning operation of the damping body a pendulum movement of the laterally disposed pressure bodies about the articulations of the ties takes place, on account of which vertical oscillation is largely eliminated.

  • Patent number: 8967034
Abstract: The invention relates to an energy-efficient apparatus driven by compressed air and equipped with a dual piston function for tensioning, or clamping, or centering, or punching, or welding, or clinching, for use in body construction in the automotive industry. The apparatus is driven by a pressurized fluid, in particular by compressed air. It is shown how a significant amount of operating costs can be saved while, at the same time, conserving the environment and consuming a low amount of pressurized fluid, in particular compressed air. In addition, the pivoting angle of a toggle joint assembly and thus of an apparatus connected thereto, for example, a tensioning arm of a toggle tensioning apparatus, can be continuously adjusted in both directions while, at the same time, adjusting a sampling device using sensors, for example, microswitches, or inductive switches, or pneumatic switches, or limit switches.

  • Patent number: 8100046
Abstract: The invention demonstrates how energy saving working cylinders are loaded with fluid under pressure in order, for example, to power devices for tensioning (toggle joint tensioning apparatus), and/or compressing and/or jointing and/or stamping and/or embossing and/or punching and/or welding, if necessary, under the interposition of gearing parts such as guides, parallelogram gears, toggle joint articulations or the like, with the fluid supply being controlled in such a way during the no-load stroke (idle stroke) of the piston (4) that only the forces of inertia and/or weight and/or the forces of friction of moveable parts are overcome and pressure is not applied from the fluid until the power stroke of the piston (4).

  • Patent number: 6845975
Abstract: An implement comprising a head part and a drive part adjoining the head part in a longitudinal direction. The drive part is associated with an actuating member which is drivable in opposite directions. The actuating member is coupled to a toggle lever mechanism via which mechanism an arm of a toggle-lever device is drivable.

  • Patent number: 6220588
Abstract: A toggle clamping device or piston-cylinder unit including mechanism for adjusting the opening angle of the clamping arm. Within the cylinder there are a number of interrogator devices that function to determine the position of pistons within the cylinder and transmit this information to a micro processor. The location of the interrogator devices can be adjusted. Also within the cylinder there are damping mechanism, the location of which can also be adjusted. When the toggle clamping device is in use, the opening angle of the clamping arm, the final-position of the interrogator devices and the final-position of the damping mechanism can be adjusted and locked simultaneously and jointly through a single adjusting element from the outside of the device without dismantling the toggle clamping device.

  • Patent number: 4625811
Abstract: A vibratory pile driver has a rigid housing, a pair of parallel and horizontally spaced shafts journaled for rotation wholly independently of each other about respective parallel and horizontally spaced axes in the housing, respective generally equally massive and eccentrically mounted weights on the shafts, and respective nonpositive hydraulic drive motors on the housing connected to the shafts for oppositely rotating the shafts and the respective weights. Thus the weights are independently and nonpositively driven and are not mechanically linked together so that the horizontal components of their rotation cancel each other out and the two opposite rotations automatically synchronize themselves with each other.
