  • Patent number: 8075056
Abstract: An office chair has a seating element with an upright tubular element (3) and a base, the seating element being connected to the base by means of the support element (1) so as to be swiveled and reset. Rubber buffers (19, 24) are provided between a connecting element (2) of the base, ring discs (11) and (17) and a tubular element (8) extending from the seating element downward and allow an oscillating movement of the seating element. The rubber buffers at least partially enclose the connecting element (2), thereby retaining the same. A pneumatic spring (4) allows to adjust the height of the seat. A thumb screw (16) allows to adjust the restoring force by compressing the rubber buffers (19, 24) to a greater or lesser extent.

  • Patent number: 5909925
Abstract: The device concerns a rocking stool comprising a seat surface 1 and a support structure 6 having a base 3, wherein arranged at the base end of the support structure 6 is a contact means 5 which can be pressed against the floor when the rocking stool is loaded and which is arranged centrally beneath the seat surface and which serves as a support in the rocking movement. The contact surface is pressed against the floor when the stool is loaded by virtue of elastic deformation of the support devices arranged on the support structure 6 and thus provides such a good frictional connection between the rocking stool and the floor that a travel movement of the rocking stool during the rocking movement is prevented.

  • Patent number: 5577801
Abstract: An active dynamic seat has a base, an intermediate piece linked to the base and a seating part linked to the intermediate piece. The seating part is made of two pieces. The two halves of the seating part are resiliently linked in the vertical direction to the intermediate piece, independently from each other, and have each a support part and a seating half arranged thereon. Each seating half of a seating part half is mounted so as to tilt backwards and forwards on the support part.

  • Patent number: 5573304
Abstract: An active dynamic seat has a base, an intermediate piece linked to the base and a seat part linked to the intermediate piece. The seat part can tilt in all lateral directions and is linked in an essentially fixed manner in the vertical direction to the intermediate piece. One or more restoring devices act on the seat part. The intermediate piece is fixed at its lower end to the base and is resilient in the vertical direction. In another embodiment of the invention, the seat part is linked to the intermediate piece by several spring strips distributed around the periphery of the seat part and of the intermediate piece.

  • Patent number: 5570929
Abstract: An active dynamic seat has a base, a stiff intermediate piece linked to the base and a seating part linked to the intermediate piece. The seating part is rigidly secured to the intermediate piece and the intermediate piece is mounted in such a way on the base that its central area can tilt in all directions and slide vertically. In addition, one or several restoring devices are arranged on the intermediate piece, in the area below the mounting point on the base, for restoring the tilting movement and at the same time the vertical displacement of the intermediate piece and the seating part.
