  • Patent number: 6145582
Abstract: A heat accumulator block for regenerative heat exchangers has a heat exchanger of a plurality of heat exchanger plates arranged substantially parallel to one another for formation of flow channels. A dirt collector is arranged upstream of a side of the heat exchanger exposed to an inflowing cold medium. The dirt collector consists of a plurality of protective plates which are arranged substantially parallel to the heat exchanger plates and have a plurality of spacers. The spacers are arranged between neighboring plates and connect the neighboring plates to one another. The spacers are positioned at a spacing to those edges of the protective plates which are exposed to an inflowing cold medium.

  • Patent number: 4640067
Abstract: A plate on which pipes of a floor heating system can be installed includes an abrasion-proof molded cover foil of relatively tough synthetic material and an insulation sheet of synthetic foam material, arranged below the cover foil, whereby the cover foil contains holding devices, molded in one piece as clamping fingers projecting from the foil material, for securing the pipes of the heating system. The insulation sheet is provided with protruding plugs which can be inserted into the hollow clamping devices of the cover foil, whereby the cover foil and insulation sheet are held together at least temporarily. There is also provided ribs for stiffening backs of the clamping fingers.

  • Patent number: 4338994
Abstract: A shaped mounting module for a liquid-type panel heating system is provided on which a heater pipe is mounted by means of discrete holder devices. In one embodiment, the panel is provided with a grid of flanges for supporting the heater pipe above the surface of the panel. In another embodiment, the panel is provided with a plurality of protrusions having their upper surfaces approximately level with the top of the mounted heater pipe to form a plurality of intersecting channels through which the heater pipe passes. Each of the holder devices has a plurality of opposite paired axially symmetrical openings formed by a plurality of axial symmetrical fingers having recesses therebetween. The heater pipe is either pressed into or passed through a selected pair of openings during assembly of the heating system. The holder devices are affixed to the panel either during the panel forming process or by adhesive bonding of the base into circular depressions on the panel during assembly of the heating system.

  • Patent number: 4282395
Abstract: To permit direct melting-in of a rod or wire-shaped conductor through a gs wall of quartz glass (thermal coefficient of expansion: 5-6.10.sup.-7 /.degree.C.) in which the wire, for example, is tungsten (thermal coefficient of expansion: 45.10.sup.-7 /.degree.C.), two or more glasses having intermediate thermal coefficients of expansion are melted on, sequentially, on the conductor, and a final glass is applied thereto which, preferably, is the same as the quartz glass of the lamp envelope, and of very short axial length. The axial lengths of the respective glass coatings, sequentially applied, decrease with the first glass having a sufficient length to prevent any overlap of the second glass directly over the conductor, the quartz glass being preferably applied in form of a short cylinder, e.g. 4 mm long, for a 2 mm diameter tungsten conductor rod, so that, when melted together, the further glass layer, or layers, over the first one and the quartz cylinder form a circumferential bead of low heat capacity.
