  • Patent number: 4222290
Abstract: A securing arrangement for planet bolts in planetary gear change-speed transmissions, especially those for motor vehicles, in which all planet bolts are secured against axial displacement on one side by means of a common sheet metal locking plate adapted to be fixed at the planet gear carrier. Each planet bolt is provided on its side facing the locking plate with an annular groove for mounting therein a securing ring while the bores in the planet gear carrier intended for the accommodation of the planet bolts are enlarged on the side facing the locking plate into an axial groove open toward the outside so that after the insertion of the bolts together with the securing rings, the locking plate can be mounted axially over all bolts.

  • Patent number: 4150543
Abstract: An automatic change-speed transmission for vehicles with a drive connection between a transmission output shaft adapted to be coupled with vehicle wheels and a secondary servo-force generator for the emergency supply of aggregates of the transmission control and shifting system operating with a servo-pressure, which drive connection is adapted to be disconnected by a disengaging mechanism, and with a permanent drive connection between a transmission input shaft adapted to be driven by a driving engine and a primary servo-force generator for the normal supply of the aggregates; a servo-motor for the disengaging mechanism which is adapted to be displaced into a disengaging position disconnecting the secondary servo-force generator from the transmission output shaft is brought into its working position by a control device operating in dependence on the servo-force of the primary servo-force generator when the actual value of the servo-force lies below a necessary operating value.

  • Patent number: 4098378
Abstract: A brake drum for braking a transmission member of a planetary gear change-speed transmission, with a cylinder provided on its outside with a cylindrical brake surface for the engagement of a brake band to engage a speed and on its inside with engaging surfaces for the non-rotatable mounting of clutch lamellae of a clutch operating on the transmission member, and with a drive flange which is coaxial and non-rotatable with respect to the cylinder and which is connected for rotation in unison with the transmission member. The cylinder is constructed double-walled by means of a collar provided with the brake surface while the cylinder section disposed on the inside of the collar is constructed in one piece with the drive flange.

  • Patent number: 3981614
Abstract: A pump wheel for a hydrodynamic unit, especially for a torque converter or a hydrodynamic coupling of motor vehicles, with a pump wheel outer shell that consists of cold-deformed sheet metal material with a welded-in hub member and which receives the pump wheel blades; the pump wheel blades are thereby cast together with a shell member matched to the inner surface of the pump wheel outer shell, whereby the shell member is so inserted into the pump wheel outer shell that entrainment members cast integral therewith engage in corresponding apertures of the pump wheel outer shell.
