  • Publication number: 20070020022
Abstract: A cosmetic pencil which comprises a sleeve body which in its interior has a longitudinally extending cavity which is open outwardly by way of at least one opening, and a lead of a cosmetic material which is arranged in the cavity. It is further provided that the lead is arranged in the sleeve body at least portion-wise in spaced relationship in the peripheral and/or longitudinal direction with respect to the inside wall of the cavity of the sleeve body, forming an empty space.

  • Patent number: 6862969
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the manufacture of fiber bundles and an apparatus for the performance of the method. A continuous process routine and the reduction of fiber losses is permitted by a method with process steps including taking up and transportation of a fiber bundle strand using one or more feed elements, cutting of the fiber bundle strand into partial bundles of a suitable length, releasing the partial bundles from the feed elements, gripping of the partial bundles using one or more gripping elements and releasing the partial bundles from the gripping elements. The present invention further relates to an apparatus for the performance of the method.

  • Patent number: 5713850
Abstract: Apparatus for controlling a fluid flow includes a housing having a first fitting for connection of a tube and at least one further fitting for detachable securement of a coupling piece of a peritoneal catheter. Accommodated in the housing is a rotary valve which is indexable in predetermined positions to selectively establish a fluid communication between the fittings. Associated with one of the fittings is at least one closure member which is acted upon by the rotary valve for displacement in a radial direction to open and close a passage to the peritoneal catheter.

  • Patent number: 4092218
Abstract: A fuel element for high temperature reactors with good heat transfer from the fuel charge to the structural graphite is obtained by seating the fuel charges without a gap in the bores of the structural graphite.

  • Patent number: 4057514
Abstract: Graphite or carbon molded articles of high isotropy and high heat conductivity, especially useful for high temperature reactor fuel elements are prepared by pressing a mixture of a binder and a powdery carbon filler which consists partially or wholly of pyrolytically produced isotropic carbon with subsequent heat treatment of the pressed article. There is used as the filler an isotropic pyrolytic carbon made by depositing a hydrocarbon on a carbon granulate and then grinding to a particle size of less than 100 .mu.m.

  • Patent number: 4000039
Abstract: There are prepared fuel elements for high temperature reactors from which the fuel zone can be removed from the structural graphite after the burnup of the fissile material has taken place so that the fuel element can be filled with new fuel and again placed in the reactor by having the strength of the matrix in the fuel zone sufficient for binding the embedded coated fuel particles but substantially less than the strength of the structural graphite whereby by the action of force it can be easily split up without destroying the particles.

  • Patent number: 3978177
Abstract: Graphite molding powders are prepared which contain phenol-formaledehyde as a binder and which are intended for use in the manufacture of graphite molded articles, especially fuel inserts, fuel elements and absorber elements for high temperature reactors by mixing a graphite powder with a phenol formaldehyde binder and subsequent heat treatment, in a given case in admixture of coated fuel, fertile or absorber particles. The invention resides in not adding to phenol-formaldehyde as such to the graphite powder but as the starting components namely phenol and formaldehyde or source of formaldehyde and heating the mixture to the resin condensation temperature.
