  • Patent number: 9188232
Abstract: A valve mechanism for controlling release of pressurized fluid includes a fluid chamber, a plunger and a plunger driver. The plunger is received in an aperture in the fluid chamber, and is movable between a fluid retention position in which fluid is substantially trapped in the fluid chamber and a fluid release position in which fluid can escape from the fluid chamber through passages in the plunger. The plunger is biased into the fluid retention position. The plunger driver engages the plunger to cause the plunger driver and the plunger to move in unison and move the plunger into the fluid release position during a first portion of a stroke of the driver towards the fluid chamber, and the plunger driver is further guided to permit the plunger to return to the fluid retention position during a second portion of the stroke.

  • Patent number: 7234396
Abstract: An ink applicator has at least one generally stationary mounting part, a fixed elongated bar fixedly mounted on the mounting part and carrying an elongated applicator blade, and a movable elongated bar mounted on the mounting part, extending parallel to the fixed bar, carrying an elongated applicator blade parallel to the fixed-bar blade, and defining an elongated ink-holding compartment with the fixed bar. The movable bar is supported on the mounting part for movement between an outer position with the movable-bar blade spaced transversely from the fixed-bar blade and defining a gap through which ink can flow out of the compartment and an inner position with the blades engaging one another and closing the gap so that no ink can flow out of the compartment.

  • Patent number: 7159497
Abstract: A saw such as a chop saw, a circular saw, a compound miter saw or a sliding compound miter saw having a rotatable saw blade is provided with a laser arbor alignment system. The laser arbor may include a power generator that generates power as the saw blade and the laser arbor are rotated by a spindle. The generator may include a stator comprising an electrical magnet or a permanent magnet mounted on a fixed portion of the saw. The other portion of the generator is a rotor comprising a coil that is rotated with the laser arbor to generate power for the laser. Power may also be provided to the laser by slip ring contacts from a stationary source to the laser arbor.

  • Patent number: 4495224
Abstract: A process for preparing improved molding materials of expandable styrene polymers by coating the particles with glycerin esters of long-chain fatty acids. The coating comprises organosols of pulverulent glycerin esters having 14 to 24 carbon atoms in aliphatic hydrocarbons having 3 to 8 carbon atoms. The proportion of glycerin monoester is at most 40, but not less than 10% by weight and the particle size of the pulverulent ester is less than 100 microns. The molding materials are used to manufacture molded articles.
