  • Patent number: 4682133
Abstract: A relay includes two armatures each having a contact spring and a contact piece secured thereto which interacts with the respective cooperating contact element. The two movable contact pieces are electrically connected by a stranded copper conductor so that a series connection of the two contacts is formed. The series connection can be interrupted twice by the two armatures which switch independently of one another so that a reliable opening of the circuit is assured even if one of the contacts fuses. The relay is particularly useful for safety circuits such as in motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4647743
Abstract: In a contact arrangement for high breaking capacity relays having a center contact spring movable between two cooperating fixed contact elements characterized by the contact spring having a contact member secured on each of the two opposite surfaces facing the fixed contact elements with one of the two contact members being of a larger size than the other contact member and the width of the contact spring to form a projection to which a flexible copper lead can be directly secured. As a result thereof, the switched current in a changeover contact can be conducted with low-loss across the center contact spring without an expensive center contact spring of a material which has a good conductivity being required.

  • Patent number: 4586566
Abstract: An arrangement is disclosed for joining the tubes of a heat exchanger core to a connecting box, wherein the tubes are fastened to the connecting box and sealed, said tubes being secured to the connecting box by means of a friction joint and at least one space being provided for each tube surrounding the end of the tube; each said space comprising a cavity bounded by the connecting box and the tube or a corresponding recess, and being filled and sealed with adhesive material.

  • Patent number: 4448319
Abstract: The screwthread in a screw cap for a bottle has at least one gap which interrupts the screwthread, at a position which is spaced at less than 360.degree. from the start of the screwthread whereby, if the screw cap is fitted in an angled position on to the screwthread on the bottle, the screw cap can snap over the first turn of the screwthread on the bottle in order to move into the proper position.

  • Patent number: 4430868
Abstract: Disclosed is an evaporator comprising a connector member, a Venturi distributor connected to the connector member for receiving and distributing a coolant, wherein the Venturi distributor divides the coolant into a plurality of streams, a plurality of channels formed in the connector member for conducting the coolant streams from the Venturi distributor, the channels corresponding in number to the streams with each channel being positioned to receive one of the streams from the Venturi distributor, a plurality of evaporator pipes connected to the connector member in parallel flow arrangement, the pipes corresponding in number to the channels with each pipe being connected to one of the channels, thereby forming a continuous coolant flow path from the Venturi distributor via the channels to the evaporator pipes, and a collection chamber formed in the connector member for receiving the coolant from the pipes.
