  • Patent number: 7570971
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to connect terminals to a communication system in a wireless manner by means of a data packet network. At least one transition device to which a short-range radio module is coupled, and a server for controlling connections to the terminals, are coupled to said data packet network. The transition device is provided with a coupling table comprising addresses of terminals which are situated within the radio coverage of the short-range radio module. The server comprises an allocation table in which a network address of the transition device which enables the terminal to be wirelessly reached is respectively allocated to an address of a terminal. According to the invention, a packet-based alignment protocol is provided in order to dynamically align the allocation table with the coupling table.

  • Publication number: 20010011844
Abstract: In the method according to the invention, when the operating voltage (BS) supplied by a primary voltage source fails in a program-controlled circuit arrangement (STB), the latter is supplied with supply voltage (VS) by a standby voltage source (EQ) with a limited energy reserve. Depending on the level of the supply voltage (VS), at least one subfunction of the functions realized in the circuit arrangement (STB) is deactivated in dependence on the importance of the said functions and/or the function sequence-specific energy consumption of the said functions, the energy reserve of the standby voltage source (EQ) being optimally utilized taking account of the overall functionality.

  • Patent number: 6149295
Abstract: A process and apparatus for the measurement of parameters in reactors having moving stirrers which contain probes in the reactor interior, wherein at least two probes connected via a multiplexer to a sensor signal amplifier by connecting cables located in the moving stirrers are installed on the surface of the moving stirrers, and the measurement data obtained by the probes are passed via the connecting cables to a sensor signal amplifier and from thence are passed on to an electronic evaluation unit by non-contact, inductive signal transmission by means of a contactless sensor tap.

  • Patent number: 5632017
Abstract: A communication system equipped with a central computer means is connected to a service central via a communication network, for example, a telephone network of ISDN network, for telecontrol thereof. For the information exchange between the service central and the communication system, a teletransmission module is arranged in the latter, this telecommunication module being connected to the central computer means via a computer/bus interface and via a PCM-oriented system/bus interface. An information transmission via different communication networks, preferably via the telephone network or via the ISDN network, can be set using the teletransmission module.

  • Patent number: 5386287
Abstract: Device for the automatic evaluation of a plurality of test sample components, in particular within the field of water and sewage water analysis, comprising at least one chemical sensor into which the test sample component(s) is/are placed, and comprising a measuring device to determine the measurable variables which are characteristic for the test sample component(s), characterized in that each sensor is provided with a coding region for information regarding the measurable variable to be determined, and in that a reading device, for the evaluation of the coding region, and a monitoring device, which is connected to the reading device and the measuring device, are provided, wherein the monitoring device adapts the measuring device to the measurable variable to be determined on the basis of the reading supplied by the reading device.

  • Patent number: 5159912
Abstract: A method of electronic engine control for a motor vehicle includes sensing an ignition voltage of a final ignition stage, effecting a performance check of the final ignition stage in response to a control signal generated in response to sensing the ignition voltage of a final ignition stage, and providing an error flag if the control signal deviates from a predetermined control signal. An apparatus for performing the foregoing method comprises an electric control circuit that includes a sensor for detecting the ignition voltage, and control means that effects a performance check in response to a sensor output signal and emits the error flag in response to an error control signal.

  • Patent number: 4940034
Abstract: The invention is directed to a control circuit for controlling the speed of an electric fuel pump for an internal combustion engine having fuel injection and includes a speed limit-value comparator for controlling the speed or delivery rate of the fuel pump to a value below the minimum speed or delivery rate for a speed of the engine above a specific predetermined limit speed which is impermissibly high. The minimum speed or minimum delivery rate is then the delivery rate which is required for at least building up the system pressure in the fuel injection system.

  • Patent number: 4224272
Abstract: A nozzle assembly has an upstream part which transforms a solid thermoplastic-resin strand into an upstream tube section which is centered on an axis and flows axially. Formations inside this upstream part impart rotation about the axis to at least a portion of the material of the upstream tube section. This upstream tube section is then deflected by a distributor radially outwardly and then forced through a plurality of generally angularly equispaced radially extending throttle passages in a throttle ring. The individual solid streams issuing from this throttle ring are united into a downstream tube section that is passed axially through a downstream nozzle part which is also provided with formations that impart rotation about the axis to at least a portion of the material of the downstream tube section. Eventually the tube issues from the downstream end of the downstream nozzle part as a large-diameter tube suitable for blow molding.
