  • Patent number: 9131629
Abstract: A cooling apparatus for a motor vehicle having a drive which comprises two motors, of which one is an internal combustion engine and the other is an electric motor (3) which is connected to an inverter (2), which is connected to an electrical energy source (1), via electrical cables (4, 5). For the purpose of cooling the energy source (1) and the inverter (2), the latter are each equipped with at least one cooling element, which directly surrounds the energy source or inverter, for conducting a fluid coolant. The electrical cables (4, 5) are combined with at least two pipes which at one end are connected to the cooling elements of the energy source (1) and inverter (2) and at the other end are connected to a heat exchanger (7) in order to form a coolant circuit.

  • Publication number: 20060008216
Abstract: A device for signal transmission includes two terminals, between which a flat ribbon line (10) is arranged, which runs in turns, forms a winding body, is housed in an essentially circular cassette, and has at least two parallel, spaced conductors (15) embedded in a sheath (16) made of insulating material. The cassette consists of a rotor that can rotate about the axis of the cassette, on which rotor one of the terminals is attached, and of a stationary stator, on which the other terminal is attached. The winding body of the flat ribbon line is arranged between the stator and rotor. To reduce the sliding friction between the flat ribbon line (10) and the plastic parts of the cassette, the sheath (16) of the flat ribbon line (10) is covered all the way around and over its entire length by a thin layer (17) of a cross-linked insulating material with very good antifriction properties.

  • Patent number: 6884474
Abstract: A method of coating an oblong shaped body (8) made of polymer material, which is intended for guiding light in the form of optical signals. In this case, a coating made of polymer material having a lower index of refraction than the shaped body (8) is applied around the shaped body (8). To generate the coating, a coating facility (A) having at least one chamber (1) is used, to which a halogenated gas (4) and/or gas mixture is supplied. The halogenated gas (4) and/or gas mixture is converted into a plasma (6) in the chamber (1) under the effect of microwaves (5) and conducted out of the chamber (1) through a nozzle (7). The shaped body (8) is moved at least one time over its entire length along the coating facility (A) in the region of the nozzle (7) and/or the plasma (6) emitting therefrom and, at the same time, provided with a coating (9) made of a halogenated polymer, which is generated by the incidence of the plasma (6).
