  • Patent number: 5241709
Abstract: The invention concerns an interfacing for stiffening outer garments which is formed from a composite of a nonwoven textile (19), a warp knit fabric with synthetic multifilament threads and weft threads (20). The composite according to the invention contains a loosely bonded nonwoven fabric (19 ) of fibre count 1 to 5 dtex and weight class 30 to 150 g/m.sup.2, a warp knit fabric of warp thread count 20 to 80 dtex, set of the warp 40 to 70 threads per 10 cm and fibre count 1 to 3.5 dtex and resilient weft threads (20) incorporated into each stitch course of the warp knit fabric of thread count 300 to 2000 dtex, set of the weft 70 to 130 threads/10 cm and, for a fibre proportion in excess of 50% by weight, a fibre count of 7 to 60 dtex.

  • Patent number: 5075151
Abstract: A woven fabric used as a lining in a shirt sector, consisting of fabric-forming warp and weft filaments which consist of synthetic material, wherein the weft yarn consists at least partially of crimped yarns. The finished fabric is then coated in punctiform manner with a hot sealable adhesive on the basis of copolyesters and/or low pressure polyethylene in the spot raster with a spot density of 600 to 1400 spots/inch.sup.2. The invention also comprises colored, marked and flame-resistant linings. The coating with hot sealable adhesive can be carried out in punctiform manner using all the known application technologies. It is also taken into consideration that a calendering process can be undertaken after the coating process.

  • Patent number: 4952773
Abstract: An automatic arc welding machine of the type which operates with rod electrodes. The electrodes (46), which are held in a welding head (28), are moved automatically with respect to the workpiece. The electrodes are moved longitudinally away from the workpiece in accordance with the arc voltage such that a certain arc length is sustained. After use they are automatically replaced with new electrodes. For this purpose there is provided an arc striking control by means of which the particular electrode (46) is placed on the workpiece with the current limited to a value below the selected welding current; the electrode is then raised from the workpiece by an amount corresponding to the predetermined arc length while the welding current is released, before the longitudinal movement of the electrode in accordance with the arc voltage begins. A precisely timed and accurately placed ignition is achieved in this manner, even if the location of the weld is covered with scale or slag.
