    Abstract: There is disclosed herein a ski pole having a tubular handle end portion containing a warning signal device actuatable by a button or the like disposed at the end of the ski pole grip. The warning signal comprises either an audible signal or a visual signal transmitted through the wall of the pole which may contain light diffusive material providing a sparkling effect. The warning signal device is either mechanically or electrically operated.
