  • Publication number: 20160121423
Abstract: The invention relates to a TIG welding torch (1) comprising a torch head (2) with at least one non-melting electrode (3) and at least one feeder device (4) for a melting wire-shaped filler material (5), wherein the longitudinal axis of each electrode (3) and the longitudinal axis of each wire-shaped filler material (5) intersect each other in a Tool Center Point (TCP), and wherein the torch head (2) is arranged adjustably on a support (6) and is adapted to be fixed in at least two different positions while the Tool Center Point (TCP) remains the same. For achieving a compact construction and higher flexibility during welding, the support (6) is of elongate and quasi V-shaped design and comprises a circular guide (7) at the front end thereof, in which guide (7) a slide (8) connected with the torch head (2) is adapted to be arranged, so that the outer dimensions of the torch head (2) are not changed substantially in the case of an adjustment of the torch head (2).

  • Patent number: 9151487
Abstract: The invention relates to a heating element (25) for liquids to be vaporized as well as a burner (6) of a steam cutting device (1) and a burner (38) of a power-generating device, the element being designed as an induction heater (47) comprising one coil (25a). In order to improve vaporization, the coil (25a) of the induction heater (47) is enclosed in a hybrid construction which is composed of a main part (31) with laterally extending webs (33), and which consists of an easily magnetizable material (35) and a thermally highly-conductive material, a covering element (32) consisting of nanocrystalline materials being arranged on the webs (33), and the easily magnetizable material (35) being designed to be installed on a thermally highly-conductive material (37) of a vaporizer (21).

  • Patent number: 8809723
Abstract: For a WIG/TIG welding torch, gas distribution across a cross-section of the gas lens and/or the gas nozzle, is improved and as small a size and as low a weight of the components as possible can be achieved, when an insertion element with a bore in the center through which an electrode is to be guided is arranged, with fan-shaped flow elements being positioned around the bore and twisted relative to the plane of the bore so as to provide for radial deviation of a gas flowing therethrough. The gas lens consists of a base body having a gas distribution channel with at least one gas-lens filter, with an above-described insertion element being arranged in the gas-distribution channel, and with a gas-lens filter, seen in the out-flow direction of the gas, being arranged downstream of the insertion element.

  • Patent number: 8507823
Abstract: The invention relates to a securing element (30) arranged between a gas element (32) and a current element (33) of the plug-in element (28). A fixing element (34) is arranged in the coupling (29) of the torch handle and meshes with said securing element (30), and, for guiding over said fixing element (34) arranged in the coupling (29), the gas element (32) has a diameter smaller than those of the securing element (30) and of the current element (33). Said securing element (30) can be guided over the fixing element (34) using a flat area (35), while the gas element (32) is arranged in a gas bore hole (37) in the coupling (29) in a sealing manner. The position of the torch body (27) can be freely adjusted by means of a manual rotational movement, said fixing element (34) being guided in a circumferential groove (36) in said securing element (30).
