  • Patent number: 7935284
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of concrete blocks or concrete slabs of varying formats and sizes, whereby concrete is filled into molds for several blocks or slabs, the surface layer of which or the facing concrete layer of which has a base color and the surfaces, which have regions of difference colors, is puddled by means of vibration and/or compacting and subsequently hardened, whereby, before puddling, at least one portion of a pigmented and/or variously-pigmented and/or a color- and/or various color-containing finishing material is projected or thrown by means of at least one application device.

  • Publication number: 20080098689
Abstract: A method for shaping concrete blocks and/or concrete slabs of various formats and sizes. The shaping taking place in concrete-filled molds with or without additional facing concrete. Dies or matrices corresponding to the block surface or slab surface have recesses or projections for impressing the surfaces. The concrete blocks or concrete slabs are then removed from the molds before setting and are cured externally and the surfaces are further worked in a subsequent operation. The recesses formed are grooves having parallel, oblique, planar or curved walls and/or roots and the projections being tooth strips having parallel, oblique, planar or curved walls and/or tips. The grooves and/or tooth strips extend over the entire surface of the dies and consequently over the entire surface of the concrete blocks or concrete slabs. In a subsequent operation the surfaces are blasted with liquids or solids. A final step may include application of a coating containing acrylate resin.

  • Patent number: 6471895
Abstract: A method for the fabrication of concrete blocks (2) or concrete slabs of various forms and sizes, fabrication taking place on the basis of vibrational compaction in concrete-filled molds or dies, the block surface or slab surface of the concrete blocks or concrete slabs being subjected to at least one post-forming treatment and subsequent curing. The post-forming treatment includes gentle contact of the surfaces of the concrete blocks or concrete slabs with soft materials.

  • Patent number: 5400561
Abstract: In the case of concrete blocks having narrow through holes for water drainage (perforated blocks), in particular paving stones of various formats and sizes that can be laid on surfaces exposed to the rain, such as streets, paths, squares, parking areas and rings around planted trees, and can be filled by means of jointing means or by means of sand at the lateral ends, the problem exists that the holes become plugged upon jointing or sanding-in. In order to prevent this, the holes are closed at their top end until the jointing or sanding-in operation is complete. This is advantageously accomplished by means of a filling agent that can be floated away or dissolves by means of the addition of water.

  • Patent number: 5397228
Abstract: Device for the fabrication of concrete blocks having thin through holes for the drainage of water (perforated blocks), the fabrication taking place in at least one mold filled with concrete, which mold is supported on a mold table, and at least one male die for the compaction of the concrete. In order to create the thin holes, core pins are arranged in the region of the male dies or of the mold table or of the mold, which core pins are introduced inside the mold before the compaction of the concrete. Afterward, the concrete is compacted, the core pins are removed from the region of the mold, the compacted concrete blocks are completely demolded, and the concrete blocks are cured.

  • Patent number: 5133915
Abstract: A process for the production and treatment of concrete blocks, which are produced in molds filled with concrete and are imprinted on their surface by means of dies that exhibit recesses or protrusions. Subsequently thereto, the surface of the concrete blocks is roughened or formed or textured and freed of loose particles by brushes, in particular strip brushes and roller brushes.

  • Patent number: 4265834
Abstract: A process for the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to aniline is described wherein the nitrobenzene is contacted with hydrogen in the presence of a multi-component supported catalyst containing 1 to 20 grams of noble metal per liter of support and 1 to 20 grams per liter of support of one or more transition metal of the Groups IVa, Va, or VIa of the Periodic Table. The catalyst can contain 1 to 20 grams per liter of support of a further transition group element or of a member of the main group. The catalyst is one which has been prepared by a process involving pretreatment of the support with a base prior to impregnation with the catalytically active substances, followed by drying to a residual moisture content of less than 10 percent of the maximum absorbency of the support.
