    Abstract: A door assembly for a motor vehicle includes a window frame, a function carrier assembly including a function carrier fixedly connected to the window frame and a plurality of operational components accommodated in the function carrier, and an outer skin disposed on an exterior facing side of the function carrier assembly, where the plurality of operational components remain in the function carrier and the function carrier assembly remains fixedly connected to the window frame when the outer skin is removed from the exterior facing side of the function carrier, and the function carrier is connected to the window frame by at least one connection element mounted on the window frame for the reinforcement of at least one of a hinge region and a locking region of the function carrier.
